Course Title: Portuguese as a Foreign Language (A2/B1)

Objectives of the course:

At the end of this course students are expected to understand the main points of clear
standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. and to
deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is
spoken. Students should be able to: (i) produce simple connected texts on topics of personal
interest, (ii) describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, (iii) briefly give
reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Prerequisites: Previous knowledge of the Portuguese language (Elementary Level)
