ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS OF THE
VODACOM TANZANIAL PLCs INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING
OF 560,000,100 SHARES
The Vodacom Tanzania Public Limited Company (Vodacom Tanzania or VODA) initial public offering
(IPO) of 560,000,100 ordinary shares at a price of TZS 850/= per share was conducted from Thursday 9 th
March, 2017 to Friday, 28th July, 2017 and aimed to raise TZS 476,000,085,000.

Vodacom Tanzania is delighted to announce that the IPO has raised TZS 476,000,085,000 as planned. Of this
amount, 60% of the Offer was raised through subscriptions by Tanzania investors and 40% of the Offer from
international investors.

This is a significant landmark transaction for the country, being the largest IPO in the history of Tanzanias
capital markets and has attracted more than 40,000 Tanzanian investors, most of whom are first time
participants in the capital markets in Tanzania.

The CMSA has approved the shareholders register reflecting these results, ready for crediting the allotted
shares to the respective shareholders Central Securities Depository (CSD) accounts.

In accordance with the IPO timetable approved by the CMSA and included in the Addendum to the Vodacom
Tanzania Prospectus, 7th August, 2017 is the official announcement date of the results of the IPO. Following
completion of the CSD Accounts postings, Vodacom Tanzania shares will be listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock
Exchange (DSE) on 15th August, 2017 under the ticker VODA. Shareholders are advised to collect copies of
their Depository Receipts, beginning on Monday, 14th August, 2017, from Collecting Agents through whom
they applied for the shares. Trading in the Vodacom shares shall commence at 10.00hrs (10AM) on the same
day.

We are proud and excited that many Tanzanians have participated in the offer and supported our company.
We also thank investors from outside the country for their support and confidence in our company. We look

9 Machi, 2017 na kuhitimishwa Ijumaa tarehe 28 Julai, 2017. Toleo lilenga kukusanya jumla
ya TZS 476,000,085,000 kutokana na mauzo ya hisa 560,000,100.

Matokeo ya toleo hilo yanaonyesha kuwa kiasi cha TZS 476,000,085,000 kilikusanywa kama
ilivyopangwa. Kati ya mauzo hayo, 60% imeotokana na mauzo kwa wawekezaji wa hapa
Nchini na 40% imetokana na mauzo kutoka kwa waekezaji wa Kimataifa.

Taarifa hii inazingiatia idhini ya Mamlaka ya Masoko ya Mitaji na Dhamana (CMSA) kuhusu
Toleo hili la Hisa, na Wawekezaji ambao maombi yao yamekubaliwa wataingiziwa hisa zao
katika akaunti zao zinazihifadhiwa na Soko la Hisa la Dar es Salaam (DSE Central Securities
Depository). Stakabadhi za Umilki wa Hisa zinaweza kupatikana kutoka kwa mawakala
ambako Hisa husika zilinunuliwa.

Toleo la Hisa za Vodacom Tanzania limekuwa toleo kubwa zaidi na la kihistoria kufanyika
nchini, na kuhusisha Watanzania zaidi ya 40,000 wengi wao wakiwa wanashiriki kwa mara ya
kwanza katika masoko ya mitaji hapa nchini. Kwa hiyo, Toleo hili limewezesha kupanuka kwa
ushiriki wa Wananchi katika soko la mitaji na dhamana, na pia katika uchumi wa Taifa.

Kwa kuzingatia ratiba iliyoidhinishwa, tarehe 7 Agosti 2017, ndiyo tarehe ya kutangaza
matokeo ya toleo. Baada ya kuingizwa kwa hisa katika akaunti za CSD za Wanahisa, hisa
zitaorodheshwa katika Soko la Hisa la Dar es Saalam na mauzo yake kuanza saa 4 asubuhi,
tarehe 15 Agosti, 2017. Wanahisa wanahimizwa kupata Stakabadhi za Hisa zao zilizohifadhiwa
katika Hifadhi ya Dhamana (CSD) kutoka kwa Mawakala ambako walinunua hisa hizo.

Vodacom Tanzania inafurahi na kujivunia ukweli kwamba Watanzania wengi wamejitokeza

kununua hisa zake. Aidha, Vodacom Tanzania inawashukuru wanahisa wote wa ndani na
kutoka nje ya nchi kwa imani waliyoionyesha kwake na kuamua kuwa sehemu ya jamii pana
inayounganishwa na maono ya kugusa maisha na kuipeleka Tanzania katika ulimwengu wa
kidigitali.
