Rationale: Story Patch helps users to create and tell stories in a fun way. There are lots of different illustrations
and customizations available. This application allows students to easily tell stories and to be creative by
creating story lines, and developing characters. This app is ideal for prereaders and early readers, making it
suitable for Grade 1. Using this app to support students story telling will help to engage more students. Some
students may be very successful using traditional story development methods, but by enhancing this experience
through technology teachers can engage students who prefer visuals and those who may struggle with writing
by providing a fun and interactive experience.

great way to help students who are encountering writers block or those who are having trouble getting their
stories started. It will also help to engage students who enjoy working with technology.

Rationale: This app is very easy to use. Once you download it, it will begin to assess your current level within
a language and guide you through your learning from there. There are different modules within each language
course that are grouped together and form your skills. Throughout, user progress is celebrated and shared. The
app will prompt you regularly to ensure you stay on track and reminds you to login regularly to stay on top of
your learning. This app will help students to reinforce the language learning that they experience in the
classroom and also comes in a kids-specific version and teachers can now track student progress!

Rationale: Although the price is high, this app could be greatly beneficial to students who need some additional

from knowing the sequence of events. This app has a variety of viewing options which helps all users, but
especially those with a visual impairment. Users can leverage the countdown and interval timers for the
completion of an entire schedule or each step of a schedule. This app allows you to create and use different
visual supports, including: visual schedules, boards, choice boards, video models, stories and task analyses.

motivated by earning fish to add to their aquarium. This app is a great way for students to reinforce their in-
class learning and provide additional support to students who are struggling or who would like additional
practice. This is a fun and interactive way to motivate students to learn and enjoy math.

Rationale: This app is part of the TeachMe family of educational apps. This application covers sight words,
spelling, addition and subtraction by identifying and understanding the users written responses. As a result,
writing and spelling are incorporated into the use of the application. There is a coin reward system to keep
users motivated and the coins can be spent on rewards such as a virtual aquarium or making a creative scene in
the art store. Its great that students can integrate and enhance their writing skills while learning about other
subjects such as math.

Rationale: This math game app helps students to practice their math skills by completing math problems to
progress through a story. Users can select what math skills they want to learn about at a given time. Users can
name their monster, and then they use this monster to progress through the story in order to rescue their best
friend. There are multiple levels which will lend itself well to supporting students at varying learning levels at
the same time. Teachers can obtain reports on their students progress and then use this information to focus
their teaching on areas of opportunity for students and customize learning to student needs.
