Operations Management

Functioning as an overall in-charge for the navigation of the vessel, loading, storage, unloading and maintenance operations on
ships for bulk cargo bulk and finished dry products.
Looking after the personal matters of all crew & subordinate officers. Maintaining amiable environment on board the ship during
sailing tenure.
Assessing safety/security requirements, formulating procedures and appointing security agencies to provide round-the-clock
security for the staff members and the infrastructure, and man / capital movement.
Directing facilities management & up-keep functions inclusive of messing functions for the staff and preparation of food in a clean
and healthy environment.
Formulating and implementing appropriate plans for handling crisis situations. Developing proactive plans for tackling
contingencies and emergencies.
Monitoring sufficient stock position in the inventory. Addressing procurement requirements, as and when they arise in coordination
with the procurement team.
Implementing and adhering to customer specifications in order to achieve project execution in the most economical and cost-
effective manner.

Commercial Operations

Coordinate with Officers, Agents and the Terminal in completing Cargo operations within the defined time period and sailing the
vessel out of the Port with the least wastage of time.
Act as an interface with Officers, Customs, Immigration, Agents and the Terminal in completing Cargo operations within the
defined time period, thereby ensuring no commercial losses.
Effectively sort out problems of Shipping and Documentation on board.
Assist Shore based Planners with loading the ship to its maximum permissible safe capacity in compliance with all International
Regulations.

Logistics Management
Developing the logistics network for ensuring seamless, cost-effective movement of consignment and timely delivery of orders.
Ensuring effective material handling through proper stacking to enable smooth and timely movement of stocks through the
network.
Directing the functions of Receipts, Inspection, Storage, Issues & Related Documentation, Bill processing, etc.
Overseeing the dispatch of Customs Cleared Products to Client locations; ensuring adherence to Documentation and Internal
Norms.
Managing logistics functions, negotiating with Shipping Companies; C&F Agents for cost effective transport solutions & clearances.
