Joyce, Stephanie. Clean Coal: Fact or Fiction. Inside Energy, 11 Oct. 2016,
www.insideenergy.org/2016/10/11/clean-energy-fact-or-fiction/

Clean coal refers to a range of technologies including Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS).

What is does it captures the carbon emissions from sources like power plants, then stores it so it

does not enter the atmosphere. There have been many experiments for clean coal, depending on

funding. Most experiments are not too functional, due to the lack of funding. The department of

Energys budget for FY2017 sets $1 billion for coal tech upon 6 listed facilities, which 5 of them had

financial problem. Experts from Oxford, International Energy Agency, and Clean Air Task Force say

that clean coal must work, or our earth will burn. This source captivates that clean coal will work.

The scientist and researchers only need more funding to be able to stabilize the CCUS. Which will go

great with in my essay describing by example that the technology exists, but the support does not.

10 Ways to go Green and Save Green. World Watch, 18 Apr. 2006,

www.worldwatch.org/resources/go_green_save_green/

Going green saves money at home and work. Generations to come will appreciate us living more

sustainably. To do so, there are a few simple ways we can do to for this to happen, one, save energy

and save money. Unplug appliances when not being used, wash clothes in cold water, use-drying

rack, are a few examples. Two, if you save water you save money. Take shorter showers and install a

low-flow showerhead. Three save as much gas as possible. Bike to work if possible, this will kill

multiple birds with one stone, which you gain more and so does mother earth. Four, do not purchase

bottled water, and use water filters or buy a reusable bottle. Last but not least, try making your own

cleaning supplies. Just a few simple ingredients save money, time, and the environment. This source

will work great within my essay when proposing simple ways in day-to-day human activity, that will

make a huge impact on humanity.

Federal Spending: Where Does the Money Go. National Priorities, OMB, National Priorities Project,
www.nationalpriorities.org/budget-basics/federal-budget-101/spending/

The U.S. distributes funding every fiscal year (FY) to all resources to the country. The funding is

broken between two spendings, Discretionary and Mandatory. In FY2015 discretionary spending

had $598.49 billion of the U.S. funding go to military. In the same FY, $1.25 trillion went towards

social security, unemployment, and labor under mandatory spending. Total federal spending by

congress amounted to 50% of funding going to military, social security, and unemployment. This

source plays a big role for my argument that clean energy is not too expensive. While, adding

additional points on clean energy lacking the support. The support is there, it is just going to places

that are gaining all the support. This source makes it clear why the U.S. thinks clean energy is too

expensive.

Rahut, Dil Bahadur; Ali, Akhter; Behera, Bhagirath. Domestic Use of dirty Energy and its Effects on Human
Health. International Journal of Sustainable Energy, Nov 2017, vol36, issue10, article.

Dirty fuels such as fuel wood, charcoal, cow dung, and kerosene have quite the adversely affect on

human health and the environment. Access to clean energy is essential to attain a good quality of life

and sustainable economic and social development. This peer-reviewed source proves that with

studies and research of the affects upon actual families. Conducted research on the relations between

health problem and use the use of dirty energy compared to clean energy. It illustrates these

statistics and results upon graphs and charts. Presenting much data of these households using dirty

energy obtaining eye problem, tuberculosis, and respiratory problems. This source presents many

numbers, which numbers dont lay. This is why the source will contribute greatly upon my analysis

on why clean energy is important, strengthening my topic.

Ross, Martin T.; Sullivan, Patrick T.; Fawcett Allen A. Depro. Investigating Technology Options for Climate
Policies. Energy Journal, 2 Oct. 2017, Spc.Issue2, vol38, article.

There are a range of technologies and regulatory approaches to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

There are simulations that indicate that reductions in greenhouse gas emissions can be accomplished

with limited economic adjustments. With scenarios modeled in charts and graphs, proves new

technologies will have a critical role in meeting climate change mitigation, while also having low

impact on GDP consumption. There is plenty of accurate data with in this source that will strengthen

my argument of clean energy is affordable and the technology exists. Not only is clean energy

affordable, it will save the U.S. a lot of money in the future. My topic of clean energy needs sources as

this one, to convince my audience that clean energy is real and possible.
