of children have been top winners in the past.
The six best bakers receive beautiful rosettes and cash awards.
Immediately following the competition, all pie entries are auctioned off.

Greg Hurley and his Central NY Garden Tractor Pull show performs non-stop
rounds competitions with diverse machines of all sizes and intensities.
Youll be amazed by their powerful capabilities!
Seventeen year old Liz Frey who hails from Sodus
and is a senior at Sodus Central School.
She is the daughter of Jeff and Laurie McFaul-Frey.
Liz is a long-time and very active member of 4-H
and has won many national, state, and county
awards for her involvement with goats, rabbits,
cavy, poultry, and dairy competition.
She was also last years Dairy Princess.
Following high school graduation,
Liz is attending college at SUNY Cobleskill.
The Wayne County Fair Apprentice Program
Trophies and was established in 2007 to encourage
prizes are the next generation of potential leaders
awarded, too! of the fair and the community.
The apprentice has the opportunity to work

JOHN AKERS
MONDAY NIGHT, 5 - 7 PM
John Akers has been a staple of the Rochester music scene for almost 25 years
first with his band, Warner Bros recording artists Hard Rain, then as an original solo act.
John has played colleges, clubs and concert venues throughout the northeast,
doing as many as 200 shows a year. He has developed a reputation
as a versatile, passionate and powerful singer and performer
who loves to find the heart of the song, whatever the style of music.

STEPPIN OUT STRING BAND

Four dynamic and talented women have joined forces to form
this high energy band. Combining folk songs and ballads with
beautiful close vocal harmonies, lively and fun traditional dance tunes
with American patriotic music, this band is a favorite
with audiences of all ages. Steppin Out String Band plays
Swinging Jigs, Reels, Polkas, Hornpipes, Airs and lilting Waltzes,
Folk Songs with Close Harmony, Vocals, Old-Timey Music
and Fund Songs, Marches and American Patriotic Tunes.

BIG BLUE HOUSE BAND

TUESDAY NIGHT 5 - 7 PM
Big Blue House is a raucous trio of seasoned musicians with experience
in a variety of genres, which now merge styles and voices
into a unique gumbo of folk, rock, blues, jazz and reggae.
They offer a blend of voices, acoustic rhythm and lead guitar,
stand-up bass, and occasional mandolin, banjo and resonator guitar.
They often add percussion and a random horn to fill up the house.
Their songs run a broad scope of time and genres but keep a consistency
of musicality, lyricism, imagery and tastefulness. They are ready
to add some flavor and energy to your Tuesday night at the fair!

The trios vocals are accompanied by a pleasant combination of rhythmic,
acoustic guitar and a bouncing upright (or occasionally electric) bass.
Performances are upbeat and comprised of classic and contemporary rock
with doses of blues, country, swing, folk and island music.
Listeners enjoy the duos variety of music styles.
NEIL VAN DORN BAND
FRIDAY NIGHT 5 - 7 PM
This Jam Based, Indie Pop/Rock group have roots planted in Rochester.
Centered around the honest songwriting of Neil Van Dorn,
the band combines an array of personal influences, musical stylings
and diverse backgrounds to create a unique and exciting blend
of impressive rhythmic grooves, complex instrumentations,
catchy hooks and unique melodies. Audiences can expect to hear
an array of their favorite songs in ways never before imagined.

CHARLIE ELLIS BAND
THURSDAY NIGHT 5 - 7 PM
Ellis has been playing guitar on and off most of his life. He joined the band
Big Hairy Guy in the early 90s as lead guitarist and playing with them for
several years before joining the Rattelers. At the end of the 90s he put away
his guitars until 2010 and went to work learning the instrument and theory,
and how to improvise and get familiar with the jazz genre. Later he started
an acoustic, vocal act along with some jazz instrumentals.
DAVE MCGRATH
SATURDAY NIGHT 5 - 8 PM
Dave McGrath demonstrates his vast range of covers ranging from rock, to
pop and country. He expertly performs songs from artists such as John Mayer,
Tom Petty, and Jason Mraz. He can also rock the house with favorites by
The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Bob Segar and The Rolling Stones. Dave also has a
country streak, with songs by Keith Urban, Little Big Town and Brad Paisley.
Daves diverse armory of cover songs and polished originals appeal
to a wide variety of audiences, from the old to the very young.

4-H EVENTS
4-H fairs reflect the evolving interests of youth in the world today.
While many youth continue working with animals, growing food and
flowers in their gardens, or refining their sewing and cooking skills,
4-H contests and exhibits have expanded to also include new
venues such as robotics, shooting sports, and photography.
4-Hers, ages 5-19, who participate in the Wayne County Fair
are provided opportunities to: display what they have learned,
enhance individual learning and skill development, receive
recognition, learn and recognize standards of quality, learn
and apply research based subject matter, and promote
public awareness of the 4-H Youth Development Program.
