Adjective yang berakhiran ed dan ing memiliki arti yang berbeda.

Adjectives dengan -ed

Apabila adjective dengan ed maka adjective tersebut menunjukan perasaan si subjek terhadap
sesuatu.

I am amazed by his song.

Pada contoh I am amazed by his song menunjukan bahwa subjek I merasa terpukau dengan
lagunya.

Adjectives dengan -ing

I am amazing.

Jika kalimatnya I am amazing berarti bahwa si subjek yang memukau.

Contoh lainnya adalah:

I am surprised = terkejut

I am surprising = mengejutkan

I am satisfied = saya puas

I am satisfying = sayalah yang memuaskan.

I am bored = saya merasa bosan

I am boring = si subjek itulah yang membosankan.

Contoh kata sifat dengan ed dan juga ing dan juga bentuk verb/kata kerjanya dan juga
noun/kata benda dari kata tersebut.
Amaze => amazed => amazing

worried/worrying, interested/interesting, excited/exciting

'-ed' adjectives
Adjectives that end in -ed are used to describe how people feel:
'He was surprised to find that he had been upgraded to first class.'
'I was confused by the findings of the report.'
'She felt tired after working hard all day.'

'-ing' adjectives
Adjectives that end in -ing are used to describe things and situations. Compare these example
sentences to the ones above:
'Being upgraded to first class is surprising.'
The findings of this report are confusing.'
