What is litter?

Litter is any material that have been

disposed improperly at an inappropriate
location. Litter can exist in the environment
for long periods of time before degrading
and be transported large distances into
the oceans. It can affect quality of life
and create problems to natural and local
environment.
Cumberland Council understands the
importance of protecting the environment
so that it is healthy and safe for both present Primary School
and future communities. Your actions will
help to create a healthier environment for
all.
