MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME
TO FILE COMMENT

Respondents Judge Cesar L. Aganon and Sheriff Melchor C.

Gaspar, unto the Honorable Office, respectfully states:

1. Respondents Judge Aganon and Sheriff Gaspar separately received on

12 July 2017 the above-captioned administrative complaint and the
Honorable Offices 13 June 2017 1st Indorsement directing
respondents to submit their respective Comment within ten (10) days
from receipt of the aforementioned Complaint, or until 22 July 2017
for respondents Judge Aganon and Sheriff Gaspar.

2. Respondents Judge Aganon and Sheriff Gaspar manifests they will file
a Joint Comment to the above-captioned administrative complaint.

3. However, the draft of respondents Judge Aganon and Sheriff Gaspars

Joint Comment is still being prepared considering respondent Judge
Aganon just returned on 16 July 2017 from official leave as evidenced
by his approved leave application filed with OCA-Leave Division on 29
May 2017.

4. Due to lack of material time and the pressure of work in other equally
important cases, respondents Aganon and Sheriff Gaspar need an
additional period of fifteen (15) days from 22 July 2017, or until 6
August 2017, within which to file their Joint Comment.

5. The instant Manifestation and Motion is not intended for delay but is
necessitated solely by the aforestated reasons.

PRAYER

WHEREFORE, premises considered, it is respectfully prayed that:

1) The instant Manifestation be duly Noted; and
2) Respondents Judge Cesar Aganon and Sheriff Melchor Gaspar be
granted an extended period of fifteen (15) days from 22 July 2017,
or until 6 August 2017, within which to file their Joint Comment
(to Complainants above-captioned Administrative Complaint).

Other reliefs just and equitable are likewise prayed for.
