ACTS RECOGNIZES ACADEMICALLY OUTSTANDING SHS STUDENTS

Excellent Senior High School students from different strands (HUMSS, GAS, ABM
and ICT) were awarded certificate of recognition as fruit of their wit, patience,
perseverance and eagerness to study. This event happened last November 23, 2016 at
ACTS Lecture Hall which was headed by the SHS Principal, Prof. Eric P. Castillo, together
with the School Director and School Registrar, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao and Mrs. Elma
Macalinao, respectively. Faculty staff and other SHS students also participated on the
said event. The main aim of this event was to acknowledge those students who shown
exemplary performance in terms of their academic achievement.
The program started with a prayer led by one of the SHS adviser followed by
words of encouragement from the School President/Director, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao.
Top 10 students from different sections were recognized. Top 10 performing students
from the overall ranking of the different strands were given certificates. Rank 1 from
different strands were: Ms. Sherlyn Pepito from HUMSS, Ms. Ma. Kaye Bartolome from
GAS, Ms. Regina Fuentes from ICT and Ms. Rose Ann Porcopio from ABM.
The program was really a great recognition on the part of the students because it
made them feel that their efforts were appreciated. This also served as another way of
motivating the students to excel and to be eager on their academic performances.
