Content standard 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to
pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm
and intonation.

Learning standards 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance

1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts by:

a) giving Yes/No replies

Objective By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-

i) Talk two sentences about a picture with correct grammar.


ii) Answer four out of five sentences regarding a short
paragraph.

Steps/ stages/phases Set induction

Teacher tells the pupils that they are going to look at a picture and
try to talk about the picture. (page 101)
The questions that may ask by the teacher:
What did you see at the picture?
What happen to the man in the picture?
What did he bring?

Practice

Teacher calls three pupils to act regarding to the situation in the


picture.
Teacher writes a dialogue on the whiteboard.
Pupils perform the scene in front of the class.

Production

Teacher writes true and false exercise to be completed by


the pupils on the whiteboard.
Pupils are given 15 minutes to complete the sentences.

Closure

Pupils wrap up the lesson by asking back the characters in the


dialogue and the incident which had been experienced by the
man in the picture.
