Dear Editor:
Purim (Eruy Shabbos), the Boro Park eruv was broken by ignorant, corrupt, vicious, degenerate,
vandals.It was Fixed, before Shebbos, by diligent supervisers of this enw.
Before, the next Shabbos, it was broken again: and, Fixed before Shabbos. Last Monday night
it was broken again.
However, those on patrol, saw him breaking the erwv. We willl not say whet happened to him.
Let this serve as a vamung to anyone contemplating such acts. Our eruv is under constant
supervision. There are also qoyim on call to fix this eruv. In the event it needs to be fixed on
Shabbos.
There is also a beck up eruv. This insures it's ubmet security.
Our erw is under the supervison of leading scholars in our generation. There is no ore
eqal to then in our generation.
Aryone with questions concerning our erw can ask these eminent holy sages. They will be
‘most. haopy to answer all questions.
They have lectured extensively on this subject. Tapes of their lectures are available. Many
have written on this sibjest. Their works are availeble for all to study.
In all, thirty four (34) Rabbinin, leaders of the most prominent congregations in Baro
Park, wrote letters,or signed, a proclination, in favor of the Boro Park eruv.
No one fas any right to dispute the reliability of these pronenent scholars who approve the
Boro Park Erw. If they feel their ruling is erroneous. They should discuss it with then.
To date this has not been done. Because, they carnot conduct an intellegen discussion with
prominent. scholars.
1 know. Because, I talk with then,
‘Also, during the past year. I published sixteen books on the subject of eruvin in Brooklyn.
These works were widely publicized in Brooklyn, and in Eretz Yisroel: and, joyfully received by
scholars in our generation,

Enclosed is a booklet, "SELECTED ESSAYS", published twenty years ago,
where letter from Reb Mashe Feinstein, of blessed memory, was conscientiously,
scrupulously, and carefully, discussed by the undersigned. Copy of this letter
appears there(see pages 24-25-26-27). Before it was published in Igros Moshe (pert 4
letter 88). This booklet was republished last year.
His letter is also discussed in other works by the undersigned. Published last
year.
Therefore, statement in your letter published in The Jewish Press that I
‘onveniently ignore" this letter. Is a lie. Because it was cited. and discussed, in
detail, many times, by the undersigned.
You had no way of knowing this. Nevertheless, you had an obligation to judge
me fairly.
We never met. We don't know each other.
Therefore, why did you judge me wrongly, and assume, I was trying to fool
the public: and, ignored this letter? Why did you publicly slander a person? Without
verifying if a letter you are sending a newspaper for publication is correct. You
had a moral obligation to do this.
If you had a question on what I wrote. You had an obligation to contact me.
Before sending a "letter to the editor".
Before one publishes statements against anyone. He has an obligation to
contact him. This is his obligation according to Jewish Law.
Your statement that Reb Moshe, of blessed memory, never gave permission to
anyone to make an. eruv in Brooklyn, is erroneous. Because, he states clearly in
afore mentioned letter that one can rely on the ruling of the Shulchan Aurach: and,
make an eruv.
This 18 obvious. Even if he did not state this.
He understood, very well, he is not greater, in grasping, and understanding,
Torah Law, than Reb Yoseph’ Ciaro, of blessed memory, who wrote the Shulchan
Aurach. Whose rulings have been binding on Jewish People for 500 years. Reb
Moshe, of blessed memory, clearly understands, his opinion is null and void, against
the ruling of the Shulchan Aurach.
Therefore, he also clearly understands, one cannot be condemned for following
rulings of the Shulchan Aurach, and leading poskim. Even if he rules against them.
May I call your attention to letter on page 24 of enclosed booklet where he
clearly states: " one has permission to do as he understands " . He has no obligation
to listen to his ruling.
Reason for not citing letter from Reb Moshe,of blessed memory, even though
well known to the undersigned, is because in a short " letter to the editor " it was
unnecessary. Purpose of this short letter was not to discuss his views in detail.
You determined from what he wrote, after looking at a map of Brooklyn, that
one is forbidden to make an eruv in Brooklyn. Which is true.
However, the undersigned, learned from what he wrote.
1. His ruling is against the Shulchan Aurach.
2, One can choose to follow ruling of the Shulchan Aurach and make an eruv.
3. iis ruling is also against all leading poskim.
4. One can follow their ruling and make an eruv.
Therefore, there was no reason to cite this letter. Because, this was already
stated in my " letter to the editor ".
Declaring, Reb Moshe's, of blessed memory, ruling to forbid making an eruy in
Brooklyn, against. all leading poskim, and the Shulchan Aurach, is absolute,and
impeccable. Is, in my opinion, like saying he is retarded. This attribute cannot be
ascribed to the qreat sage of the previous generation

Also, please be advised. Many comments on Igros Moshe, published by the
undersigned, were published when Red Moshe, of blessed memory, was alive. He
saw them: and, did not comment on them. ile understood that I have a positive,
unquestionable, right to make these comments.

someone refuses to accept my rulings.
If you are concerned about controversial people. You should remove all
volunes of Igros Moshe from the Bais Midrash. There was no one more controversial
in the previous generation. All Torah scholars, in his generation, disputed
many of his rulings.
Namely: 1. His ruling permitting a low micitzah in shuls. Even though one
can see women attending the shul. Even when they attend shul with uncovered
hair. He was the only ore sho ever permitted this. Since we received our holy
Torah. All Torah scholars opposed this ruling.
2. Artificial insemination. He was the only one who per
this. All scholars in his generation opposed this ruling.
4. Cholov Akum. He is the only one who wrote, and published,
letters permitting this
4, Prohibiting establisment of eruvin in Brooklyn. He is the only
one who published letters forbidding their establisment. All leading poskim,
from previous generations: and cminent poskim, in our generation, here and in
Eretz Yisroel, who wrate on this subject, completely disregarded his ruling.
He also stated, in published letters, one is forbidden to
protest against those who do not follow his ruling, against the Shulchan
itedAurach, and all leading pskim. This absolute ruling is completely ignored by
those against the eruv.
5. He ruled against the time honored method of Bris Mille
described in the Shulchan Aurach. Followed by all Jews for thousands of years.
His ruling is disputed by all poskin.
These are only a few of his rulings against all leading poskim. There are
more discussed in works of our sages.
You should also remove the chumashim, and shas, with Rashi. Because,
Tosfos, Ramban, and others disagree with him on many matters of Jewish Law.
You should also remove the shas from the Bais Midrash. Because, Abaya
argues with Rova, Rav Ashi argues with Ravina etc.. Also, remove the mishnaos.
Becaues, Reb Mayer argues with Reb Yehudah etc.

Dear Rabbi Margolis:
It has come to my attention that students from your yeshiva,
are tearing the eruv, established in the Kensington community.
These criminal acts are forbidden according to Jewish Law. They
are also forbidden according the laws of the United States
Government. This is a serious crime.
In our free country, everyone has the right to follow his
religion, as he pleases. Would you break into homes of Jewish
People, who have Christmas trees, and destroy them? You understand
clearly. No one has the right to touch any ones property.
You might go to their homes and explain that this is not
proper conduct for a Jew. But, you would not force your views on
them.
You can go to rabbonim involved in constructing eruvin: and,
discuss the matter with them. However, forcing your views on
others, more, so, before discussing the matter with them, is

In last analysis, all those leading the fight against eruvin
are apikursim who don't believe in GOD and His Torah. Reb Moshe
is only an excuse.
Because, he ruled explicitly, one should not protest against
eruvin. Because, his ruling is against the ruling of the Shulchan
Aurach, and all poskim. Non protest means, besides not harassing
those who make eruvin, no posters in the street, or leaflets in
the mail, and no advertisements in newspapers, against eruvin.
More, so, a despicable, vile, and wretched, advertisement
stating: those who make eruvin are "Reform Jews"
Any one who asked him, if they can make an eruv, was told,
they can make one. This is stated openly in Igaros Moshe (part 4
letter 87), in reply to the Rabbonim of Flatbush. He alsa told
this to Rabbi Menasha Klein, as record:d in his well known,
published discourse, on this subject. Reb Moshe saw it, and never
disputed, what he wrote.
Even if some protesting against eruvin ere Roshei Yeshiva,
they are still squalid, despicable, individuals. As the Rosh says
( elall 21): in the tine of the Sanhedren they would be put to
death.
