Description:.
"2-Cl-IB-MECA is a selective A3 adenosine receptor agonist (Ki = 0.33 nM). Displays 2500- and 1400-
fold selectivity over A1 and A2A receptors respectively.
In vitro: In human ADF cells of astroglial lineage, 100 nM Cl-IB-MECA caused a marked reorganization
of the cytoskeleton, with appearance of stress fibres and numerous cell protrusions. High concentrations
of Cl-IB-MECA directly cause influx of Ca2+.
In vivo: Intravenous administration of 200 g/kg 2-Cl-IB-MECA resulted in a short-lasting hypotension,
which was accompanied by a 50100-fold increase in plasma histamine concentrations. Administration
of a second dose of 2-Cl-IB-MECA did not elicit any hemodynamic effects."

Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months.
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in
advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable
for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room
temperature for at least 1 hour.
