Content Standard : 4.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to enjoy and appreciate rhymes, poems and
songs, through performance.
Learning Standard : 4.1.2 Able to sing actions songs, recite jazz chants and poems with correct pronunciation, rhythm and intonation.
Objective : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
a. Produce own jazz chant.
b. Recite the jazz chant correctly.

Set induction 1) Teacher shows a video on the example of jazz chant.
Presentation 1) Teacher demonstrates the jazz chant and pupils
follow the teacher.
Practice/ Production 1) In group, pupils produce their own jazz chant.
2) Each group presents their own jazz chant at the front
of the class.
Closure 1) Other groups give comments based on the pupils
performance.
