Content Standards : 1.2 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will
be able to listen and respond appropriately in formal and
informal situations for a variety of purposes.

Learning Standards : 1.2.1 Able to participate in daily conversations:

(a) extend an invitation

(b) accept an invitation

Practice Group activity invitation 1. Teacher divides pupils into 4 groups Game cards
( 20 card game 2. They will play the invitation game

cards and invite pupill B
Pupil B will pick one of the red
cards and she will reply according
to the card
If pupil B accepts the invitation, the
game will move on and it will now
be pupil Bs turn to pick a blue
card. If pupil B declines, pupil A
will pick another blue card and
asks pupil C
The game moves on until
everyone in the group accepts the
invitation or the time allocated
ends
