A whale in the heart of Budapest

The CET (in English whale, by

its shape) is the biggest cultural,
shopping and entertainment
complex in Budapest, just on the
bank of the Danube.
The owner of the building is the
Capital City of Budapest, and it will be opened in August, 2011.

The new location's total area will be almost 31.000 m2, of which 12.500 m2 will
be usable. At the CET's heart lies the 1050 seat multifunctional event hall, and
an underground garage of 250 parking lots will ensure due utilization.
The CET will provide the multi-coloured enjoyment of life.

With intense negotiations and good technical support GHU won the project, and
supplied the Fire protection system.

We had converted the originally planned pumps to Grundfos Fire NKF pumps,
which have the Hungarian OKF license. We offered a complete Fire System,
what means Sprinkler and Jockey Pumps with VdS and OKF approvals, drivers
and controllers, with commissioning and start-up. And these 55 kW pumps won
the race, not just because of the Hungarian license, but owing to a short delivery
time, 2-year guarantee, transfer to the right place and to our skilled service and
after sales.

It was a good realationship with the FF designer and also with the installer of the
building - and the customer, who has first met with Grundfos, was fully
satisfied.

Installed pumps:
2 pcs Fire NKF 80-250/233, Sprinkler
Pump
1 pc CR 1-17, Jockey Pumps
