CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Canton Center Road between Michigan Avenue and Geddes Road
Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements
to Canton Center Road in Canton Township.
WHATS BEING DONE?
Capital improvements to Canton Center
Road between Michigan Avenue and
Geddes Road in Canton Township include
concrete pavement reconstruction.
Improvements also include sidewalk ramps,
installation of storm water sewers and new
signage and pavement markings.
WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE?
Construction will begin on August 21, 2017
and the road work is estimated to be
completed in November barring any
unforeseen delays or inclement weather.
Restoration of grass, if needed, will be
completed as weather allows.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Canton Center Road will be completely
closed. The community should expect
construction barrels and signage placed
alongside Canton Center Road as early as
August 14. During reconstruction,
commuters can gain access to businesses by
using alternate entrances. School traffic
should plan for extra travel time.
Flaggers may be present to direct traffic as
needed during construction. Please use
caution when driving through the work zone,
reduced speeds will be posted.
WHAT IF I HAVE A SPRINKLER
SYSTEM?
If you have a sprinkler system on your
property and are along the project corridor,
you are asked to identify and clearly stake
the locations of the system (heads, valves,
and underground lines) or any other
underground utilities that are not part of the
MISS DIG program. You can contact Wayne
