RATIONALE: Project Jobsfit 2022

For the past six (6) years, there had been notable improvements in
the employment situation of the country. Based on the results of 00
October 2015 round of Labor Force Survey (LFS), the unemployment
rate dropped to 5.7 percent; the lowest recorded in a decade. Further, a
decreasing trend can be observed in the youth unemployment rates that City Government of Tuguegarao

There had been major changes on the current trends in the labor
market since the study was conducted. Thus, it is important to update
the information contained the study. Also, as provided in the report,
after two (2) years it is deemed necessary to review the document.
For this year, the results of the ILOs Philippine Employment
Projection Model (PEPM) 2015 and Human Resource Development
(HRD) industry roadmaps will be used to jumpstart the review process.
Stakeholder consultations will be conducted to engage relevant
stakeholder groups at the regional level. At the national level, a
workshop will be held to validate regional synthesis reports.
With the support and cooperation of the DOLE
agencies/bureaus/services and Regional Offices ROs), Regional
Coordinating Councils (RCCs), Regional Development Councils (RDCs),
the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) will serve as the focal agency

to ensure that key stakeholders will be consulted and that the expected
output will be produced in a timely fashion.

Determine hard to fill occupations and surplus
