Academic Experience
Effect of Ferrous Salts on Biomass Carbon Structure and Capacitance Characteristics Nov. 2014-Feb. 2015
ADVISOR: Prof. Haiping Yang, the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion (SKLCC).
Innovatively designed and set up an experimental platform to effectively load biochar with ferrous salt.
Utilized the resulting pyrolysis active cokes to produce the supercapacitor electrodes, investigated the biochar pore structure,
and analyzed the electrochemical performance.
Ambient Effects on Pyrolysis of the Algal Biomass and its Decomposition Products Dec. 2015-Feb. 2016
ADVISOR: Prof. Haiping Yang, SKLCC.
Independently designed and customized durable pyrolysis reaction vessels.
Carried out pyrolysis experiments to explore the effects of algal species, temperature, and component difference.
The Application of Low-temperature Plasma in Air Cleaning Mar. 2016-present
ADVISOR: Prof. Lushi Sun, SKLCC.
Fabricated an innovative low-temperature plasma air purifier based on Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) theory.
Independently designed and carried out experiments on the removal of pollutants, such as NO, SO2, and VOCs.
Still working on an article named Two New Applications of Low-temperature Plasma in Air Cleaning to seek the possibility of
its being applied indoors and in the exhaust gas treatment of oxygen-enriched combustion.
Numerical Simulation of a Horizontal Coal Burner May 2016-Jun. 2016
ADVISOR: Prof. Qingyan Fang, SKLCC.
Succeeded in using ANSYS for a numerical simulation of a horizontal once-through pulverized coal burner.
Proposed an effective strategy for dividing the primary air to achieve a longer lingering time for coal particles.
The TECO Green Tech International Contest Aug. 2016
ADVISOR: Prof. Lushi Sun, SKLCC | SITE: National Taiwan Science Education Center.
Assembled a team and further designed an intelligent control system for the low-temperature plasma air purifier.
Added a feedback control module and linked the control system to a smartphone app to achieve remote control.
Delivered the final presentation of our innovative work to judges in English.
