Argus Field Service Kit User Instructions

Introduction
This service kit contains the most commonly used parts for on board field service of Argus X and S-Band Radar
Systems. Where possible, its purpose is to help ensure only a one-time visit to the vessel is required for the
majority of service cases.

This document is split into the following sections:

On Board Service Report (Page 2): all sections of this report must be completed, in English, and returned
to Navico after service has been completed. An authorized representative of the vessel must also sign
and date this document, confirming completion of the work.

Spare Parts Price List and Items Used (Page 3): this section details all items contained in this Service Kit,
and associated part number and pricing. Please indicate any item(s) you have used by placing a ' mark
in the last column.

Spare Parts Identifier (Page 4): this is a visual representation showing where each spare can be found in
the case. It is also a reference to show where items should be carefully re-packed before returning to
Navico.

Using this Field Service Kit

The spares contained in this Field Service Kit have been arranged over three layers, and packed in pre-
defined locations, within the protective foam inserts to prevent shipping damage. Electronic PCBs are
protected in hermetically sealed anti-static bags, the contents of which, are clearly identified with labels.
Additionally, the Spare Parts Identifier at the end of this User Guide is a visual aid, to help you locate
spares in the shipping case. It is very important while using this Field Service Kit, you observe the
following:

1) Used and unused parts must be carefully re-packaged in their original locations, in the foam
inserts. Items returned damaged, will be invoiced by Navico;
2) The Service Report on Page 2 must be completed;
3) Items used for On Board Service must be recorded on the Items Used and Spare Parts Price List,
found on Page 3;
4) Items opened, but unused, will automatically be charged a 30% re-stocking fee. This is to cover
associated expenses involved with opening, testing through manufacturing and re-packaging;
5) This kit must be returned to Navico within 10 days after completion of Service, and not later than
30 days after shipping from Navico. Any kit returned to Navico within 30 to 60 days after
shipping from Navico will incur a +10% surcharge for the total value of the kit. Service kits
returned after 60 days will be invoiced for its total cost.

Shipping
In confirmed Warranty cases, this Field Service Kit will be shipped free of charge. Return shipping
information will be provided. If in doubt, please contact your local Navico Service Manager, or Logistics
Centre, for more information. In situations where you have used an alternative shipping vendor to that
recommended by Navico, a 10% surcharge will be added to any return shipping costs.
