INTRODUCTION
Bacteria are microorganisms that grow everywhere. We can collect and grow them in
specially prepared petri dish so to test and observe the diversity of microorganism isolated
from the environment , an experiment was conducted to see the growth of bacteria , Most
bacteria can be collected in the environment will not be harmful. However, once they
multiply into millions of colonies in a petri dish they become more of a hazard, so to conduct
the experiment the agar nutrient from the teeth was used.
AIM
Is to observe the diversity of microorganism isolated from the environment
MATERIAL
1 Petri dish
2 Nutrient agar
3 Swab
4 para film
METHODS
The petri dish was opened just a little bit not too much to avoid other bacteria get in the petri
dish then after a swab was use to take a nutrient agar the nutrient agar on the swab was
rubbed on the petri dish then after the petri dish was closed with its closer and para film was
put outside the petri dish so that no air come in and out then placed upside down to avoid
evaporation, and it was checked since day 1 to day 6 and the size and colour were recorded
RESULTS
CONCLUSION
In the experiment it has shown growth of bacteria which has a yellow, white and grew colour
in the petri dish and again there a was a present of fungi and we then conclude that there
bacteria are every were but the only problem is that, if they are collected together and grew
they are harmful, as we knew that the petri dish act as an isolated system, that has an average
temperature, in the long term we can know where and how to test for
bacteria build up safely. These finding are valuable to the science
community and scientists because of the results, the results that we can
learn from and teach future generations how to prevent bacteria build up.
This can also create a safer society for medical reasons for bacteria build
up.
