Basic introduction

AISG (Antenna Interface Standards Group) , include RET, ASBT,

NSBT, TMA and Other accessories;
We named RET as RCU (Remote Control Unit) or ACU (Antenna
control Unit) Generally; --- RCU will be used in this document;
RCU is connected to antenna Mechanical, ASBT and NSBT is
installed in feeder system, and antenna down tilt can be Adjusted by
LMT or OMCB remotely.

RCU, ASBT and NSBT will be used in our 3G AISG system.

3G antenna and RCU

3G existing RET Antenna have 2 types, KATHREIN and ANDREW.

We should use different RCUs according to the antenna type.

1 1

2 3 2

1. Port 1 is connected to RET antenna directly;

2. AISG cable is connected from port 2 to the AISG port of ASBT;
3. Port 3 is AISG cascade port, and connected to port 2 of next RCU.

AISG cables

Standard AISG cable Special AISG cable

Standard AISG cable has two ports: Port A is male and Port B is female. Port
A connects ASBT or RCU and Port B connects to RCU.
Note: If the standard cable is not longer enough, it can be extended.

Special AISG cable has two ports: Port A is DB9 and Port B is AISG female.
Port A connects to ZTE RRU and Port B connects to NSBT.
Note: The special AISG cable has a length of 2.8m. As in the case this cable
is too short it can be extended using standard AISG cable.

Check AISG hardware installation and all cables connection ;

Test the voltage of special AISG cable female port by multi-meter;
Test the voltage of AISG port of ASBT;
Test the voltage of female port of RCU;

Notes:
1. Test voltage in the AISG female port from RRU to RCU step by step ;
2. Attention and avoided short of ping 3,5,6, and 7 when you test,
otherwise the fuse of RRU AISG port will be broken;
