In giving my advanced science students the Edutopia Multiple Intelligence Learning Styles Quiz, the results were very clear that

all learning styles were present within each of my classes. Data Table 1 shows the percentages of students who scored highest in the

respective intelligence categories as well as the gender differences within that category. The category of intelligence that scored the

highest (15%) with my students was the logical/mathematical category, with the lowest being the musical category (11%). All of the

other types of learning intelligences are in between. However, the data does not show any huge disparity between any of the learning

intelligences. All were very close in overall percentages. In nearly every category, there are slight gender differences. Additionally

in Data Table 2, the data shows that an overwhelming majority of students had more than one predominant learning intelligence.

What this means is that majority of students learn information in more than one-way. In fact, over 60% of students had significant

strengths in three or more intelligences. What this means for my classes is that as a teacher, I need to make sure that I am teaching

using multiple formats so that all students have the opportunity to learn utilizing their preferred method/s of intelligence. Data Table 3

is a summary table of the eight different intelligences, their relative strengths, effective instruction techniques and activities and some

of the technology tools available for that learning type.
