SERGE ISMAL OUEDRAOGO

Summary
For nearly a decade now, Serge has researched and published works in human-
interest photography, videography and storytelling, engaging thousands of donors
across the world to the cause of West-African children. He currently works for
Compassion International where he helps design and implement youth development
programs for more than 75,000 children in Burkina Faso. As a community organizer,
he initiated and led programs that engaged youth in IGAs, civic education and
STEMs. Serge's work both as communications specialist and Training Specialist helped
reinforce his leadership and build a more resilient community that continues to stand
up to child labor, female genital mutilation, and unemployment in his home country,
Burkina.
Serge is a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow who participated in the Civic
Leadership institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
