Grading

This is a guide to the grades you will be getting on your points sheets

4
4: OUTSTANDING
You do everything that is asked of you and more. You often do more than we expect and ask
for extension work in class. The quality of your work is consistently very good and often
outstanding, and you make a significant contribution to class, helping others. You dont give
up when things are difficult, and you are really enjoyable to teach.

3: GOOD
You do everything that is asked of you, completing the work set to a good standard in class.
You listen to the teacher and to other students, take part in class discussions and work well
in a group. You show some determination and resilience when tasks are difficult and you
are enjoyable to teach.

2: ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

You sometimes do not complete all the work that is set in class. Sometimes the quality of
your work is not good enough. You dont take part in class discussion unless you are
specifically asked questions and have difficulty contributing to group work. You tend to give
up when you find the work too hard. These issues are affecting your own learning, but not
really that of others.

5
1: SERIOUS CONCERN
You often fail to complete the class work. Your work is generally of a poor quality. Your
behaviour has a negative effect on the lesson, which means that your work is not good
enough and other students cant complete their work to the best of their ability. You are
disinterested and really make no effort at all.
