Description
The successful candidate will carry out the administrative and finance work needed to deliver two key
business change projects within the Direct Payments Monitoring Team.

Main Duties:
The project work includes obtaining/checking/manipulating data in Excel, updating a large number of
customer social care/finance records, liaising with a range of stakeholders (including customers and
their representatives, social workers, finance colleagues, IT colleagues), responding to enquiries and
completing bulk mailings
To provide an efficient, effective and courteous reception service for the Centre; greeting and directing
visitors and taking accurate messages and dealing with queries appropriately
To be responsible for all incoming correspondence to the centre including e-mail enquiries ensuring
that all items are logged, monitored and draft responses are written on behalf of the Centre
Head/Deputy
To take responsibility for booking appointment and visits for the Centre Head/Deputy ensuring these
appointments do not conflict with any other arrangements
To support the Head of Centre in the monitoring of budget by preparing the required financial and
spreadsheet based information and assisting with monthly forecasting and closure of accounts using
Camdens Collaborative Planning
To set up and organise meetings and to take and distribute minutes ensuring they are timely and
accurate
To ensure databases, systems and records are maintained with relevant information, ensuring the
information is accurate, up to date and is handled confidentially and sensitively in compliance with
Data Protection Act
To be responsible for the reporting, recording and monitoring of building faults and hazards
To assist the Centre Head with business continuity plans, ensuring that call cascade information is
kept up to date

Essential Skills and Experience Needed:


Good numeracy or experience in working in a financial role
Experience of working with financial systems
Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong experience of using customer based information systems, preferably Frameworki/Mosaic
Good communication skills; in writing, by telephone and in person
Strong administrative skills; including ability to be proactive, problem solve, pay attention to detail, and
prioritise work

Job Requirements:
At least 2 years experience in a service orientated environment, ideally with cash/credit handling
element and telephone
GCSE mathematics and English Grade C or above, or equivalent
NVQ Level 3 - Business Administration or equivalent
Typing/word/data processing qualification
Good ICT skills, in particular typing/Word
