WHAT IF ELECTRIC VEHICLES FLY PAST GAS?

WHAT IF THE SMART-GRID BURIES GAS, TOO?

.
Dear Colin and Angela,
.
Perhaps you noticed the dozens of emails I have written to you as surrogates for Senator
Lisa Murkowski and Senator Maria Cantwell.
.
As surrogates for the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Energy and Natural
Resources Committee, I hope that you are aware of the plausible impending crisis that the
oil and gas drilling, production, refining and distribution industries face. The articles written
about observed strides of exponential success stories of EVs, electric storage and
renewable (wind and solar, etc).
.
.
Senate Bill S.1460 - Energy and Natural Resources Act of 2017 (spelled out for my friends
and supporters reading this at TellRex.com) gives absolutely zero consideration for the
imminent challenge that the new ICE-less paradigm will pose to the internal combustion
engine and fossil fuels that ICE presently demands.
.
Whether 1) the "lower prices for longer prognosis holds true and drives oil and gas into debt
default, insolvency and bankruptcy, or 2) some unforeseen event causes prices to skyrocket
as they did a few years ago making solar, wind, storage and EVs even more desirable than
they are today, the petroleum era is doomed. If you doubt me, read what former Presidential
Energy Advisor has to say at ThinkProgress (Bit.ly/TP24Aug17)
.
Either way, S.1460 is based on a foundation of sinking sandNOT in the National Interest.
.
Retract S.1460 before it goes to the floor for debate and vote. Save your face!
.
Sincerely yours,
Doug Grandt
