COURSE GUIDELINES

1. Grades for this course will be based on three exams, quizzes, and class attendance (See Point
Structure Below).

2. This course is intended for undergraduate students who are interested in environmental science. It will
be very difficult to learn the material without attending class. In order to encourage attendance, I will
take roll. Two attendance points will be awarded each day, one for attending class and one for being
present the entire time period.

3. Absences will be considered excused with proper documentation (e.g., doctors note, death in the
family). Make up exams will be given ONLY for an excused absence.

4. Grading will be based on a scale of: 90 100% = A ; 80 89% = B ; 70 79% = C ; 60 69% = D ;


less than 60% = F.
