Students Enthusiasm for Having Interview and Micro Teaching Sections

Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FETT) Tidar University had a step
forward to continue the new program of International Field Experience Program (PPL)
2017 in Malaysia. The program was initially started by having interview and micro-
teaching sections on last Wednesday, May 3rd 2017 at the Micro Teaching Laboratory
Room A and B.
The selection chairman, Lilia Indriani, said that there was 34 FETT students who
participated actively in these test series. In the interview section, all of the candidates had
to answer some questions about this international internship. It aimed to select the
qualified candidates to participate this practice.
In addition to the interview test, there was a micro-teaching test. It functioned to
know the teaching methods, learning material mastery, and class management would be
used by these candidates. Prior to it, all of the candidates were required to submit the
lesson plan documents.
The candidatesenthusiasm could be seen after finishing all sections. I am happy
since I am selected and go to the second stage. It means I could take a deep breath after
knowing my rival is getting smaller in number, although I could not guarantee myself
pass the next stage. No matter about outcome, Ive been trying my best. I will accept the
next outcome later on. I wish whoever go to Malaysia and have the teaching practice
could show their best performance as the Untidar representatives", said Nur Halimah, a
student of English Education.
In addition, Taufan Maulana Haris, a student of Indonesian Language and
Literature Education said, "I think this second stage is very challenging because I have to
be mentally prepared to answer questions from examiners, and I must prepare teaching
strategies to teach there. I believed my interview and micro teaching parts went well. I
hope the qualified participants would be the best participants to represent our faculty
there.
The results of interviews and micro teaching for International PPL 2017 would be
announced on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 on the website http://fkip.untidar.ac.id/. (CA/WR).
