Please comment briefly on the context of your interaction with the applicant. If applicable,

describe the applicant's role in your organization.

I have known Prashant since 2013. I am the In-charge of the Artificial lift team at IOGPT and he

has reported directly to me for the past 2.5 years. He has immensely contributed on several high value

projects for ONGC apart from managing various other tasks such as NABL accreditation, ISO audits,

and commercial activities like software procurement and up-gradation etc. He is primarily involved

with consultancy projects and regularly interacts on various aspects of these projects with me .

How do the candidate's performance, potential, or personal qualities compare to those of other

well-qualified individuals in similar roles? Please provide specific examples.

When compared to other officers whom I have worked with in my 33 years of career, I find

Prashant to be an exceptionally skilled and competent man who has an unprecedented zeal to take up

any challenge he is posed with . I remember him as an innovative individual who has ventured into

many challenging projects He recently presented a novel method for detecting failures in rod pumped

wells in IORS 2015 conference, a method that took him 9 months to develop and involved rigorous

mathematical simulations and analysis.

In the past 2.5 years I found that Prashant has inherent leadership potential .He handles pressure

situations with a great poise .I have seen him deliver several impromptu project presentations to the top

management of the various assets of ONGC .In one of the projects an interim presentation of the project

was to be given on a short notice at one of the onshore assets of ONGC. The project had over 300 wells

and needed elaborate compilation of facts figures and subsequent analysis within a very short span of

time. He managed to perform the macro analysis and was smart enough to infer the essence out of that

analysis and recently presented it to the management in one of the assets .The project came up to the

expectation of the asset and he was appreciated for successfully dealing with this complex project in

relatively short period of time .

At artificial lift department we work as a family and not just as a professional team. I must say

that Prashant is the soul of this team. He is one the youngest members of team and has a charismatic

personality and a very optimistic outlook which makes him a great person to have around. When he

joined ONGC he had limited exposure to Oil and gas industry and has been trained by the senior

members of the artificial lift team. Today many of the members want him to assist and lead critical

projects and is always the first choice as a co-worker on various projects. I strongly feel that such a

reputation is not only because of his excellent technical skills that he has developed in the past years but

also because of his courteous nature and respect for his senior, peers and subordinates.

Because of Prashant's dependable and result oriented nature, he has become an indispensable

member of an Artificial Lift team at IOGPT. Prashant acts as an in-house consultant to ONGC for

several high stakes projects - ranging from enhancement of the Oil and Gas production to development

of new fields too. His performance in successfully delivering challenging projects along with excellent

management of various audits and training has earned him A+ grading at ONGC for the past 2 years

consecutively.

He has also successfully been a part of a team of trainers for imparting Artificial Lift training to

the various field executives and was awarded "ONGC merit award" for excellent contribution and

initiatives in imparting artificial lift training to field personnel in 2014.

I think his humble demeanour and helpful attitude towards his colleagues is reflected in the kind of

rapport he shares with peers and seniors at ONGC. Something I have not seen very often in my career

spanning more than 30 years .And it is because of his wonderful nature that I have spent more than an

hour writing this recommendation for him !!

I wish him all the very best for all his future endeavours !!
2. Please describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant.

Please detail the circumstances and the applicant's response.

During one of the tubing failure projects . He had developed a method for predicting the tubing failures and

presented the same to the management for implementation . He had tough time convincing them and had to

rework on the simulations with in-depth analysis several times . Even then the proposal for implementing the

method could not be approved and he felt dejected . I think that was the time I had pulled him up and explained

the concerns of the management. I told him that he should not give up having reached so far and tomorrow when

he will be sitting in that chair even he will be thinking twice before taking tough decision on critical projects .

I think he picked up my advice pretty well and persevered hard to finally get the approval after

thorough analysis and strong literature to support his claims . Later the project was approved and implemented in

one of the assets with excellent results . He has also presented the same method in IORS 2015 conference in

Mumbai .

I really appreciate the tenacity of this young boy and the way he managed to defend his work against the best of

the brains in the management . Finally he came up with flying colours and the project has been successful .

Currently the method is being tested on several other wells and may become well established in the future.
