ECONOMICAL tPS OPEBATION
Low pressure sodium lamps are one of the most
cost-effective lighting sources available today for
public and industriai applications. The 18 watt
lamp used in this fixture produces 1800 lumens
with a published life oi 10,000 hours and 100%
lumen output throughout its life-only an 11% rise
at end of lamp-life. Low pressure sodium light
is primarily monochromatic {one wavelength)
therefore has less scattering in Jog and rain.
lnsects are never a problem. The LPS lamp is very
stable and has proven highly effective in vibration-
prone environments.

Ruqqed housinq of heaw duty diecast aluminum
is deep ribbed for maximum heat dissipation.
Gaskets at critical points assure weather-
proof protection.
VEBSATILITY
lvlay be mounted individually or grouped for Jace-
down or face-up applications with six different
mounting arrangements available as standard (see
ordering informaiion). A complete 180o aiming
sector, with repositioning stop, is located on the
stem at the base of the unit.

APPLICATION S
Long lile and high lumen-per-watt output gives
the Micro-Watt Flood a special advantage when
appl:ed to security lighting applications, hotels,
railway yards, harbors, docks, commercial estab-
lishments and industrial lighting appiications.
Low wattage LPS units operate cooler and are
therefore especially effective in applications
where heat out-put is a factor. LPS lamps restart
faster than other lamps-an advantage if power

interruptions are a problem.

SUGGESTED SPECIFICATIONS
Floodlight shall be ITT Outdoor Lighting Micro-
Watt Flood, catalog number with 18 watt
low pressure sodium lamp.
Ballast shall be 120 volt, 60 Hertz, suitable for
operation in temperature as low as 20oF.
Lamp support shall be provided.
Housing shall be dierast aluminum with integral
fins for heat d issipation.
High temperature porcelain socket shall be
provided.
Parabolic reflector shall have anodic finish
producing an IES Type 7H x 7V beam.

Tempered lens shall be thermal shock and impact
resistant.
Lens door shall be cast aluminum and securely
held to housing by stainless steel hinge pins
and latches.
Factory prewiring shall provide 6" lead wires. Unit
shall be UL listed for 25o ambient or damp locations.
Finish shall be baked on Statuary Bronze enamel.
OPTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
Photoelectric control shall be provided and have
approximately a 10 second time delay.
