Certification Guide
August, 2005
Certification Requirements
The Siebel Certified Professional Program offers four core technical certifications and one level business
analyst certification. Additionally, each core certification can carry the customer certified designation
which represents field experience as well as a customer recommendation. All Siebel Certifications are
version-specific to major Siebel eBusiness Applications releases. In addition to completing the required
training, individuals must pass a computer-based exam that is specific to the level of certification sought.
To remain current with each new Siebel eBusiness Applications release, consultants must upgrade their
Siebel Certifications by completing the required migration training and passing the exam associated with
the new release.

training and hands-on experience — of Siebel eBusiness Applications implementation leading practices.
To achieve the Siebel Certified Consultant status, candidates must attend Siebel University’s three-week
Siebel Core Consultant Course and pass a Siebel Consultant Core Exam (version 7 or 7.7).

Analytics
Based on the job profiles of people working on Siebel technologies, Siebel Analytics program offers three
role-based certifications:
Integration
Siebel Certified Integration Consultant
The Siebel Certified Integration Consultant certification is designed for those candidates who have
sufficient knowledge to integrate Siebel applications with a variety of other applications and to understand
how different technologies can be used in different integration topologies. Candidates must attend Siebel
University's Integrating Siebel Applications and pass the Siebel 7.7 Integration Consultant Core Exam.
Customer Certification
Each certification is eligible for a Customer Certification. A Siebel Customer Certified Professional

endorsement. To qualify for Siebel Customer Certified Consultant status, the candidate must hold a
current Siebel Certification and have at least six months of project experience with Siebel business
applications.

Type of Exam
All Siebel Certification exams are computer-
based. You will be expected to use a
computer to complete the exam.
Single-Choice Item
A single-choice item requires a single selection for an answer. A visual cue that an item is a single-choice
is the round radio button for answer selection.
Multiple-Choice Item
A multiple-choice item requires more than one
selection for an answer. A visual cue that an item
is a multiple choice is the square check boxes for
answer selection. You answer multiple-choice
items by either clicking the appropriate number of
check boxes with your mouse or pressing the
letters on your keyboard associated with your
selections. Clicking Next will save your answer and
move you to the next question. The number of
selections you should make is shown both in the
question and in the lower-left corner of the test
screen. You can return to the question and change
your answer as often as you like prior to ending
your exam.
Exhibits
Exhibits that do not fit well on the same screen
as the question will be displayed in a separate
window. If an item includes one or more of these
exhibits, you will see an instruction to “click the
Exhibit button” included on the screen before the
question.
The Exhibit button is located at the bottom of the screen. Clicking the Exhibit button opens a new window
over the top of the question screen. This new window contains the exhibits necessary to answer the
current question.
Item Review
On any question screen you are given
the option of selecting the question for
review. Questions marked for review
are flagged and redisplayed during
the review period at the end of the
exam.
To select an item for later review, click
the Select for Review checkbox in the
upper-left corner of the screen.
Comments
In addition to the time allowed for
completing the exam, you are given 15
minutes for submitting comments about
any of the items. Comments are optional
and do not affect your exam score. Your
feedback on the items helps the exam
development team improve the quality
of future exams.
Only training delivered by Siebel or a Siebel Training Partner (for employees of Partners in the Partner
trainer Program only) will satisfy the training prerequisite.
