th e futu re
starts here.
Flexibility, quality, and efficiency are the most important factors in selecting a high-performance flat knitting
machine. Stoll goes a step further and brings innovation with the new ADF generation.
ADF means Autarkic Direct Feed, and it gives you complete freedom in design and production. The yarn
carriers are independent of the carriage and can move on both horizontally and vertically. Thanks to this
innovative yarn carrier technology, this machine creates together with a variety of knitting techniques
almost endless possibilities for pattern and color combinations.
The ADF generation combines these innovations with all the advantages of
different machine generations and yarn carrier techniques into one unique,
high-performance, high-quality, efficient, flat knitting machine.
Now with new machine models the ADF generation expands the pattern
possibilities. Discover the additional benefits for your production.

NEW DIMENSIONS
All current Stoll knitting techniques can also be realized without any limitations, including Stoll-multi gauges,
Stoll-flexible gauges, Plush, traditional Intarsia etc. In addition, there are new knitting techniques: Intarsia Pla-
ting, Inverse Plating, Selective Plating, Stoll-ikat-plating and Stoll-weave-in.

Advantage:
Efficiency
Fast and reliable the ADF
generation is distinguished by
its great efficiency. The knitting
sequences have been noticeably
optimized and the knitting time
has decreased, due to the reduced
number of carriage strokes and the
independence of the yarn carriers
from the carriage. The equipping
time has also been reduced with
faster and easier threading, especially
for intarsia items, which leads to
savings of both time and money. The
ADF boosts efficiency and allows for
reduced costs in each clothing item
created.

Advantage:
Diversity
The ADF is the epitome of diversity. Being used to
the proven ADF technology, enabling unimagined
pattern and color variations, now Stoll presents
new ADF models, adapted to your exact production
requirements.
Additionally to the CMS ADF 32 models with 32 yarn
carriers and sixteen yarn carrier tracks with two
yarn carriers each, Stoll now also introduces a light
version: The CMS ADF 16 models with sixteen yarn
carriers having exactly the same functionalities.
Every ADF model unites all knitting techniques from
previous Stoll machine types - Stoll-multi gauges,
Stoll-flexible gauges, Intarsia, Stoll-devor, Plush,
etc. -along with new knitting techniques:
The CMS ADF 32 and CMS ADF 16 for all basic ADF
knitting applications, with Stoll-multiflex fabric
take-down.
The CMS ADF 32 B and CMS ADF 16 B with Belt
fabric take-down can be applied mainly for knits
with deep Gores (local knitting), products with
large width variation or some products with strong
elastic properties such like braces.
The CMS ADF 32 W and CMS ADF 16 W with a
Weave-in device, enable woven knits to be knitted
with loom-like optic and loom-like properties: Stoll-
weave-in.
The CMS ADF 32 BW and CMS ADF 16 BW with Belt
fabric take-down and Weave-in device combining
Belt take-down and Stoll-weave-in knitting
products.

New views
Ergonomic considerations played a large role
in the development of the Stoll CMS ADF. Now
even the back of the machine has come into its
own. The sliding bobbin creel enables an easy
and fast access to the interior rear side of the
needle bed. The bobbin carrier attached at body
height is ideal for easy replacement of outgoing
yarns.
