The last reason why we think that Indonesia TVs programs contain a lot of

weirdnesses is the public figure that we saw show more bad attitudes to the audience rather
than the good one. Based on http://dictionary.cambridge.org, the definition of a public figure
itself is a famous person who is often written about in newspapers and magazines or is often
on television or the radio.

In this case if we refer to television programs, we also relate with an entertainment

news or gossip show which always talk about everything related to public figures from their
personal life, scandals, their activities, etc. where we found these kind of program also has
less advantage to audience.We know that TVs public figure, especially those who already
owe prosperity by working for many years in entertainment world has their own different
lifestyle which notably glamour and hedonist. Thus, it will determine their behaviour in the
real and TV life.

The first bad attitudes that the public figure often shows in the public is the way they
speak. The way they speak in the reality shows, music programs, also in the soap opera
really affect the publics mind. Their way of speaking determined from the choose of words,
the intonations, the grammar, and the use of abbrevation that they speak in front of the
camera somehow will be addapted into the societys life. For instance the most remarkable
person who ever been the trendsetter of publics language is Syahrini once again and Vicky
Prasetyo. For us, both of them have similar way of speaking which is too over, unsual
diction, ignoring the grammars, the incorrect use of english language, and like to create a
brand new strange word which soon become a trend in the society. Syahrini were famous of
her Alhamdulillah ya.. Sesuatu , Cetar membahana or termpampang nyata and Vicky
with his twenty nine my age , konspirasi kemakmuran or kontroversi hati. For us, this
is very bad if it is remain mantained. Children in Indonesia get Bahasa Indonesia lesson
from they were in first grade of elementary school until in the college in order to keep the
language eternity through their young generations. But how if that hard works suddenly
destructed by another bad values (because it doesnt have any advantage at all) ? It does
really happen among the teenagers nowadays who tend to use bahasa gaul or bahasa alay
rather than the proper Indonesia language which reflect the nobleness of the ancestors who
found it. And this phenomenon can not be separated with the influence by the public
figures.We believe that a public figure is a person who should be a role model to the society
by their noble speech and good manner. A good public figure should be aware with their
position among the society where they are responsible for the thing theyve done in every
way,including their speech. The example of the good speech represented by indonesian TVs
Public Figure is by Dian Sastro who is well known for her act in so many Indonesian TV
program. She realized that her position as a role model among the society makes her really
keeping her behavior and speech in front of the camera,proved by she never done a bad
speech and involved in a scandal.

Another public figures bad attitude that often showed in the TV program is their
hedonist and materialist lifestyle in the name of liberty which then often associated with bad
behaviour like clubbing, drinking, and shopping too much. Thus,it build an impression that
public figure TVs program in Indonesia often known with their glamour and free life. In
addition,it is also associated with the ignorance for their future life and education because
they seem just care about their present life validated by their desire to fulfil everything that
they want right at this moment. Why we think that this is a bad thing? Once again, a role
model in the public society who exposed in front of the camera everyday will be followed by
people wishing make them as famous as the celebrities nowadays by following their lifestyle.
The evidence of this phenomenon is Luna Maya who is well known for her carrier in
Television and another entertainment platform. She ever get involved in a porn video scandal
where we think this has a close relation with her metropolitan lifestyle.Another evidence is
Krisdayanti,one of the everlasting diva in Indonesia and well known for her singing career
and her glamour life. When she is in the top of her carrier, she can spend almost 50 million
for only her monthly beauty care. We can see in every ocassion she always wear gorgeous
dress with of course the expensive jewelries which illustrate her fancy-glamour life of a
diva.Well,we see this phenomena is not a good thing that should be exposed in front of the
camera because however,soon the society will imitate that lifestyle due to society perception
of a proper lifestyle.

We can see the contrary of those people in our young celebrities like Tasya Kamila
whose known as one of Indonesian TV program public figure since she was a child until now
she is known as a woman celebrity who succeed not only in her carrieer but also in her
education. She done her bachelor degree in one of the best university in Indonesia which is
Universitas Indonesia and pursuing her master degree in one of the best university in the
world, Columbia University. During her bachelor degree in Indonesia, she is still doing her
actress life and she was graduated with a cum laude title. However, in her daily life she was
also try to live humble altough she was a well known actress in Indonesia since she was a
child.
