Sensory...
Our sense of smell, taste,
touch, sight and sound
provide the foundation for our
understanding and actions.
It is only when a number of these
senses are impaired that parts of
the world are less accessible and
understanding is diminished.
/sensoryplus @sensoryplus www.sensoryplus.co.uk 5
Our extensive knowledge and understanding of the varied user groups has
enabled us to develop innovative sensory tools to suit different needs. We
have identified the most appropriate combinations of products and the
most effective methods of delivery, making our sensory portfolio an effective
resource for a multitude of care environments, accommodating all available
budgets. At SensoryPlus we are able to provide a range of sensory solutions
from interactive sensory rooms and soft play areas through to safe and
secure environments as well as portable equipment and individual items.
SENSORY ENVIRONMENTS
Imagine a world where there is the freedom to roam and
discover new experiences uninhibited. An environment where
safe and imaginative learning and play is openly encouraged.
Sensory environments are challenging and stimulating for both adults and
children with special needs, providing interactivity for those developing
cognitive and physical abilities, encouraging communication within a unique
learning environment. Sensory rooms or areas provide a calming and relaxed
atmosphere where professionals are able to educate, develop, observe and
assess clients and monitor and detect changes in ability. These environments
can be as interactive and equipped as needs or budgets dictate, often
incorporating the colourful display of bubble tubes and different lighting

Key Features
Colour change via tone
As well as controlling colour brightness through
volume, the range also uses changes in tone
to trigger colour change. Coupled with the
brightness selector, this provides an active
illumination that responds to music for a truly
atmospheric effect. Visit www.sensoryplus.
co.uk to view our Bubble Tube accessories and
replacement items.
UV illumination
Another feature is the UV option. This additional
illumination is affected by responsive items
placed in the water, or the immediate vicinity,
adding another dimension to the role of the
bubble tube within your multi-sensory armoury.

MLT functions provide different types of access to
control the tube, enabling the experience to be

BUBBLE CONTROL
The air flow through the water ensures the tubes
engage across a range of senses. Air pumping
through the water has an auditory quality and also
creates a low vibration through the entire tube. By
controlling the air flow through switching or via a
microphone, the tubes interactive options are vastly
increased. As with the lights, this interactivity can be
Momentary, Latched or Timed.
We now also design bespoke

There are many types of switches available for use with switch adapted
equipment, offering many different methods of interaction. For users who
are not capable of applying pressure, a Pal Pad Switch offers switching at a
very low profile with minimum pressure required, while the it-Switch works
wirelessly, giving a far greater range than traditional switches.
Pal Pad Switch Range
Pal Pads are flat switches, approximately 3mm thick,
yet are very rigid and durable. They are designed to
be tolerant of rough usage. They come with a foam
rubber backing you can attach to the back to
minimise slipping.

Hydrotherapy Sensory
HYDROTHERAPY is an established
aspect of the holistic approach to sensory
therapies and is often used to support those
with physical and cognitive impairments.
Utilising the bodys reaction to the stimuli of
wetness, heat, the weightless effect and
massaging sensation of the water on the skin,
Hydrotherapy invigorates and soothes by
improving circulation and relaxing tense and
tort muscles. It is powerful stuff!
Like so many things, however, simplicity is the key
to long term success. Modern technology creates
opportunities but can also introduce unnecessary
and unwieldy systems in to an area inherently
blessed with rich sensory experience already.
