yield estimates, three-month interest rate forecasts
and central bank target rate forecasts for the next
six quarters. Estimates are based on Bloomberg

Issuer Description
ISSD <GO> provides detailed descriptive, financial, operating and economic information about an organization so you can
thoroughly evaluate the ability of the issuer to repay its debt. ISSD <GO> provides details about the exact issuer, rather
than its parent, ultimate parent or another obligor.

Capital Structure
CAST <GO> is a credit analysis tool that provides
an overview of a creditors capital structure, including
type of debt issued, the specific borrowing entity
and whether subsidiary debt has recourse up the
corporate tree.

Use GCDS <GO> to analyze historical and
current credit default swap spreads at various
tenors for a customizable list of reference names
or a single name.
You can chart historical prices, monitor real-time

Using Bloombergs proprietary quantitative
techniques, DRSK <GO> analyzes the credit
health of a company by estimating the default
probability over the next 12 months.
DRSK <GO> provides timely information that
reflects current market realities, transparency into
the drivers of default probability and user override
of key inputs.

BANK SUPERVISION
Financial Analysis
FA <GO> provides financial history for companies and aggregated fundamental data for more than 15,400 global indexes,
tracking more than 100 individual financial values for each index. FA <GO> allows you to identify trends and gain data

Credit Market Watch
Use CMW <GO> to display graphs of key credit market condition indicators. You can display historical data by region or date
range. You can also display intraday data with real-time graphs by region. The data that appears for each region can be used
to determine short-term liquidity, equity/volatility performance, investment-grade credit spreads (indicated by CDS indexes)
or currency carry returns.

Graph Curves
GC <GO> can be used to compare the
EURIBOR curve, which incorporates a premium
for creditworthiness and the OIS curve, which is
close to risk-free.

Crisis Monitor
Use CRIS <GO> to monitor economic conditions in
areas affected by major financial or political crises.
For example, in the Europe view, you can compare
yields and the cost of default insurance for bonds
issued by EU countries. This can give you greater
insight into market expectations of a sovereign
default within the EU.

the global sovereign Credit Default Swap

estimates of the 1-year default probability of a
countrys sovereign debt and 5-year CDS spread.
The model inputs, which you can edit, provide

debt, set a date range to see how U.S. debt
ownership has changed over time or see a list
of banks, asset managers and mutual funds that
hold Greek debt.

Debt Distribution
DDIS <GO> displays the maturity distribution of
outstanding debt for a selected issuer, so you can
analyze the ability to meet obligations to debt
holders. You can display outstanding debt (bonds,
loans, or both) by maturity, payment rank, coupon
type, redemption type or loan type and choose the
issuing entities and the type of bond and/or loans
included in the analysis. You can also compare
an issuers debt maturity distribution or average
coupon at the end of a past quarter with the
current quarter.

ECONOMIC RESEARCH
Economic Statistics
ECST <GO> provides economic data with organization and context, so you can easily find the data you need. ECST <GO>
provides data from different sources, as well as data transformations, frequencies and seasonality, so you can customize your
analysis. ECST <GO> also allows you to analyze multiple datasets using graphical and table formats.
ECST <GO> is divided into a control area and
two sections, which allow you to find and display
economic statistics by country and economic
concept and then customize the way that the data
appears. You can also keyword-search for a list of
matching tickers on a separate page.

ECOC <GO> displays a calendar of economic
indicator release dates and additional information for
a selected index, so you can be prepared for their
effects on the markets. You can use ECOC <GO>
to display index descriptions, consensus forecasts,
historical charts, news headlines and related
indicators all in one place.

Economic Workbench
ECWB <GO> allows you to apply data
transformations to economic data series, allowing
you to perform detailed analysis of the data that is
important to you in the format that is most relevant
to your needs. Transformations allow you to take data
reported in different formats (such as year-on-year
and period-on-period) and present it in the same
format for easy interpretation and comparison.
You can integrate ECWB <GO> into your
workflow by importing economic data series
from other Bloomberg functions or creating a

Economic Forecasts
ECFC <GO> allows you to display forecasts of
worldwide economic activity. Use it to display
historical values and composite forecasts of key
economic indicators, organized by country, region,
differential and/or contributor.

Taylor Rule
TAYL <GO> allows you to estimate the direction
of monetary policy in selected economies. The
Taylor Rule posits that a central bank will raise
or lower its policy rate in response to inflation
moving above or below the banks target level of
inflation or the economys level of output moving
above or below its equilibrium. The direction of
monetary policy and the setting of the central
banks policy rate is a key determinant of the
business cycle and the level of interest rates
and, therefore, the direction of asset prices and
exchange rates. It is widely accepted that the
monetary authorities use the Taylor Rule in
their deliberations.

Financial Conditions Monitor


FCON <GO> allows you to analyze financial
conditions in Asia, Europe and the U.S. and the
individual components of the Bloomberg Financial
Conditions Monitor, track historical economic trends
and access related news. In addition, you can
compare financial conditions in those three regions.

Economics Trade Monitor


ECTR <GO> provides an interactive trade
flow map that shows you the export and import
values between a selected country and its trading
partners. The data is provided by the International
Monetary Fund (IMF) Direction of Trade Statistics,
which has its own hierarchical method of
grouping countries and regions. You can quickly
backdate the data to determine if trade between
countries has increased or decreased and, overall,
if one countrys trade imbalance is expanding or
contracting. You can also see which countries
maintain strong ties (or are dependent on each
other) as indicated by the size of the trade flows,
as well as further your analysis of the degree to
which international sanctions and regulations have
impacted countries such as Iran and forced them
to forge new trading relationships.
