KING SALMAN BIN ABDUL AZIZ

Recently, the Indonesian people was shocked by the arrival of the King of Saudi
Arabia, Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. It was quite fantastic. In this visit, he brought 1,500
contingents, amongs 25 princes and 19 ministers.

King Salman and his contingents arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday (01/03/2017).

His arrival was welcomed in particular by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko
Widodo.

Salman Al Saud was born on 31 December 1935 in Riyadh to Saudi Arabian monarch
Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and Hassa bint Ahmad Al Sudairi. He grew up in Murabba Palace
with six of his royal siblings who are often referred to as Sudairi Seven

The Crown Prince received his early education in the Princes School in Riyadh,
which was founded by his father, King Abdulaziz, to provide education to his children.
Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud studied religion and modern science.

King Salman has already married five times in his life. The first woman who tied a
marital is Sultana Bint Turki Al-Sudiari. The couple had six children: Prince Fahd, Ahmed,
Sultan, Abdulaziz, Faisal, and Hassa. Of these six children, but two of them both died of
heart complications. Salmans second marriage was with Wafaa bint Abdullah bin Hanash
bin Ali Al Shahri. The couple gave birth to Prince Saud. From the third marriage with Fahda
bint Falah bin Sultan Al Hithalayn, Salman made another six princes. Reportedly, Salman is
also married to Sarah Bint Faisal Alsibeei and Sultana Bint Mandil Al Mandil Al Khaldi.

At the age of nineteen Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud started his
governmental work, when his father appointed him as Emir and Mayor of Riyadh on March
17th, 1954. On April 19th, 1955, he was appointed by his half-brother, King Saud (b. 1902-
1969) as mayor of Riyadh at the rank of minister. He remained in this office on December
25ft, 1960.

On February 4th, 1963, Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz was appointed governor
of the Riyadh Province. He stayed in this office until 2011. During his time in office he
contributed in the transformation of Riyadh from a mid-sized town into a major urban
metropolis, while he also attracted tourism, capital projects, and foreign investment inside his
country. Reportedly, his administration of the Riyadh Province was free of corruption.

Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is the King of Saudi Arabia who took the office on 23
January 2015. Seventh Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia took the
throne after the death of his brother King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
