3.2. Einstellungen IT
3.2.1. Werkseinstellungen PT

BAT Charge from Grid: Guaranteed erhalten.

7.1. Betriebsartparameter
Peak Shaving: Peak to Shave (Watt) zugefhrt.
Leistungsaufnahme vom Energiespeicherungssystem abgedeckt.
(SOC Reserved).
Peak Shaving: SOC Recharge (%)
Parameter ntig.

3.2. Settings IT
3.2.1. Factory settings
PT
For Ethernet communication, the EMS energy manager is configured to obtain its IP address
dynamically via DHCP.
When the EMS energy manager has Wi-Fi communication, it acts as a Wi-Fi access point by default.
Once the manager is powered up it emits a SoftAP network with an SSID.
The identification will be of type 0xMxxxxxxAxx_MMMM where0xMxxxxxxAxx is the EMS
energy manager's serial number and MMMM is the four last digits of the energy manager's
MAC address.
Since the EMS energy manager acts as an access point and creates a Wi-Fi network, its IP
address is 192.168.10.3.
Web browser
The EMS energy manager has a web server that allows to see the managers IP address, as well as other data.
Settings can also be changed from this website.
The web server can be accessed by entering the EMS energy managers IP address in any web browser.
http://192.168.10.3/
The options available in the menu can vary depending on the type of manager. These are the main options:
Status. Displays the general status of the EMS energy manager, time, firmware version, serial number, if it
is connected to the Ingeteam server, etc.
Ethernet. Allows to configure the network settings of the EMS energy managers Ethernet interface.
Wi-Fi. Displays information about the Wi-Fi status of the EMS energy manager. In addition, it allows to
configure the operating mode, the SSID to which the EMS energy manager connects to and the network
settings.
Network services. Allows to configure network services, such as DNS.
System. Allows to restart the system and set the default configuration.
Serial Interface. Displays information about the serial communication between the EMS energy manager
and the inverters. It also allows to configure the operating parameters.
Update. Allows to manage the software updates.
When the client device is connected to the Wi-Fi network, open the Internet browser and enter the IP address of
the EMS energy manager.
To obtain information about the default gateway, access the network configuration properties of a PC
that is on the same network or request it from the network administrator.
The green LED on the EMS energy manager will remain fixed if there is a fault in the selected
network.

Self-consumed PV power
Battery charging
In this example the EMS energy manager establishes the following photovoltaic production setpoints to supply
the instantaneous consumption and the battery charging process. When the batteries are charged, photovoltaic
generation is in line with consumption. During night-time hours, storage allows you to cover the installations
demand, avoiding consumption from the electrical grid.
Setting Description
During the time slot in which the batteries are charged from the electrical grid, the
manager will try to maintain the level of battery charge by charging from the grid, if
BAT Charge from Grid: Guaranteed necessary. The electrical grid charging power in any given time will be equal to the
SOC (%) maximum contracted power (defined in the Contracted Power setting) minus the
consumption of the loads. The schedule for charging the batteries from the grid will only
work if battery management has not been configured for Peak shaving
BAT Charge from Grid: Enable from Determines the start of the time slot in which the batteries can be charged from the
(hh:mm) electrical grid.
BAT Charge from Grid: Enable to Determines the end of the time slot in which the batteries can be charged from the
(hh:mm) electrical grid.
The algorithm uses SOC to control the charging and discharging of the battery. If this
BAT Control: SOC Based option is disabled, the control is carried out according to the battery voltage. In case of
doubt, keep it enabled.
BAT Discharge: Enable from (hh:mm) Determines the start of the time slot in which the batteries can be discharged.
BAT Discharge: Enable to (hh:mm) Determines the end of the time slot in which the batteries can be discharged.
The MPPT option will cause maximum production of the inverters. No power limit will be

Setting Description
Power above this value will be supplied from the storage system. In a three-phase system
Peak Shaving: Peak to Shave (Watt)
the configured value will be the sum of the value of each phase.
Percentage of energy stored in the batteries for Peak Shaving. If the SOC is below this
value, the storage system supplies the required power to cover a consumption peak
Peak Shaving: SOC Reserved (%)
above what is configured in the Peak to Shave setting. When the SOC is above this value,
the storage system will supply all the consumed power.
Battery charge status value. Once it is reached, the batteries recharge from the electrical
grid until the reserve storage level is reached (SOC Reserved).
Peak Shaving: SOC Recharge (%) The power consumed from the electrical grid at a specific time for charging the batteries
will be equal to the Contracted Power minus the consumption of the connected
charges.
In order to allow charging the batteries from the electrical grid and ensure a percentage of the battery charge status
for Peak Shaving, the settings described in this section must be configured.

The operating mode of the consumption controlled by the INGECON SUN EMS Manager
SCHEDULE1 SCHEDULE7 is programmed using a weekly graphical planner with an interval of 15 minutes. The
programming modes are: ON, OFF, or AUTO.
AUTO mode controls the activation or deactivation status of the load according to the above parameters.
Ingeteam recommends configuring the EMS energy manager with a fixed IP address. This way its
operation does not depend on a DHCP server.
The following requirements are needed to allow remote connectivity with the installation.
For the EMS energy manager, connection to a local network with output to the Internet via
port UDP80 and/or UDP1194.
For the PC, connection to a local network with output to the Internet via port TCP22.
Ensure that the default gateway is correct, as the energy manager would not have remote access
otherwise. To obtain this information, access the network configuration properties of a PC that is on
the same network or request it from the network administrator.
8. Click on Next.
9. Finally, enter the name of the installation and the password for the EMS energy manager. Click on Finish.
10. An installation without data is automatically created.
If the Test Connectivity is not executed (or the result is negative and a remote connection cannot be
established with the EMS energy manager), an installation is created in local mode with no remote
access. In this case the remote password is not requested.
The INGECON SUN EMS Tools application allows to view all the production data that have been DE
downloaded and stored on the PC, without having to be connected to the EMS energy manager.

Ingeteam does not guarantee the precision and correct functioning of the strategy configured in the
EMS energy manager when transformers with a nominal secondary current (Is) of less than 5A are
used.
Transformers with a nominal secondary current that is higher than the maximum current of the
Wattmeter (i.e. 10A) may not be used.
Take into account the environmental operating conditions of the installation for the settings defining
the features of a current transformer.
The secondary circuit of an operational current transformer must never remain open-circuited.
Application note:
Sw: Power consumed in the A65+ Wattmeter expressed in VA. The power dissipated by the Wattmeter for a nominal
current In = 5A is Sw = 0.3 VA per phase.
For currents other than 5 A, the power consumed by the Wattmeter associated to the measurement can be obtained
as:
Sw = I2 x Zw, where Zw = 0.3VA / (5A)2 = 12m
Sc: Power consumed by the wiring in the current transformer secondary in VA. This can be calculated as:
Sc = I2 x Zc
The cable impedance is considered at an ambient temperature of less than 40C.

Sw = I2 x Zw, donde Zw = 0,3VA / (5A)2 = 12m
Sc = I2 x Zc

Para transformadores cuja corrente nominal secundria Is seja inferior a 5A, a Ingeteam no garante
Sw = I2 x Zw, em que Zw = 0,3VA/(5A)2 = 12m
Sc = I2 x Zc
