Simple Present:

- use (s/es), (do/does)


action in the present taking place once, never or several times
facts, habitual
actions taking place one after another
action set by a timetable or schedule
(ta hai, ti hai - habitual)

Present Progressive:

- is/am/are (ing)

- action taking place in the moment of speaking


- action taking place only for a limited period of time
- action arranged for the future
(rehi hi, reha hai, rehe hai)

Simple Past:

- ed/second-form, did/first-form

- action in the past taking place once, never or several times


- actions taking place one after another
- action taking place in the middle of another action
(keha, geya, kiya, kera, reha -> ya)

Past Progressive:

- was/were (ing)

- action going on at a certain time in the past


- actions taking place at the same time
- action in the past that is interrupted by another action
(ker reha tha, rehe thai, rehi thi -> when I saw/present work was in progress.)
Present Perfect Simple:

- has/have (third form)

- putting emphasis on the result


- action that is still going on
- action that stopped recently
- finished action that has an influence on the present
- action that has taken place once, never or several times before the moment of speaking
(kiya tha, geya tha, aya tha -> work recently stopped. But Was doing.)

Past Perfect Simple:

- had (third form)

- action taking place before a certain time in the past


- sometimes interchangeable with past perfect progressive
- putting emphasis only on the fact (not the duration)
(Ker chukka tha, ker chuki thi -> work done. In past referring on/before specific time)

Present Perfect Progressive:

- With has been/have been (ing with verb)

- putting emphasis on the course or duration (not the result)


- action that recently stopped or is still going on
- finished action that influenced the present
** Since time duration (ker reha hai, ja reha hai, so reha hai -> reha, hai)

Past Perfect Progressive:

- With had been (ing with verb)

- action taking place before a certain time in the past


- sometimes interchangeable with past perfect simple
- putting emphasis on the duration or course of an action
** Since time duration (ker reha the, ja reha tha, so reha tha -> reha, tha)
Future Simple 1:

- With will (First form)

- action in the future that cannot be influenced


- spontaneous decision
- assumption with regard to the future
(kerga, keregi)

Future Simple 1:

- With is/are (going to before Verb)

- decision made for the future


- conclusion with regard to the future
(kerga?, keregi?, Sure on future task)

Future 1 progressive:

- With will be (ing with verb)

- action that is going on at a certain time in the future


- action that is sure to happen in the near future
(Ker reha hoga, ker rehi hogi)

Future Simple 2:

- With will have (third form)


- action that will be finished at a certain time in the future

(Ker chuka hoga, ker chuki hogi by that time)

Future 2 progressive:

- With will have been (ing with verb)

- action taking place before a certain time in the future


- putting emphasis on the course of an action
Conditional 1 Simple:

- With Would (first form)

- action that might take place
