GOOD MANNERS
Man without manners is savage. Good Manners are the backbone of our society.
They make a man full and form an essential part of our civilization. Without them a
man is like an orphan without any one to look after them. They are the outcome of
good breeding. A person who has been brought up in a good environment must have
good manners. In our life we have to learn the manners. If we do not learn to behave
properly. We will become rude, rough and savage. A cultured man always shows his
grace in every phase of activity.

Good manners make a man a useful member of the society. They lend colour and
grace the life. They are more important than the laws of the state. Courtesy is the
foundation stone of good manners. We should be courteous and polite to others. In no
case, we should lose our temper. We should be polite even while turning down the
unfair request of others.

We should show our respect to our elders and teachers. We should be considerate
to women and children. We should not think ourselves superior to our friends. A well
etiquetted man never speaks such things which may harm or hurt others. He always
keeps in mind their comfort and happiness. Good behaviour, politeness, kindness,
sympathy, should be shown towards all. When we meet a deaf and dumb, blind and
aged man we should be courteous to him.

For leading a successful life, we must follow good manners.

THE RAIN MAGE

I was working in my room,
Suddenly I heard a voice
" it's me, open the door
I have come to help you rejoice."
Started I was, opened the window,
to find only some dripping rain.
then I turned back and started to leave,
" Alas! No one Understands My pain."
" That voice again", I thought in mind.
Who could be here in this rain.
But there was no one,
When I opened the windows again.
" Who are you, where are you?"
Show me your stealthy face.
A butterfly flew up to my nose,
and said - " I am the Rain Mage."
" I have come to wet the earth,
to grow new crops, to fill the lakes, clear"
"That's a good deed" - I said to him
" but then why your eyes are filled with tears."
" Look, how dirty I have become,
by the means of your pollution power.
and I have been acidified, so much
that no one welcome on my first shower"
" That's bad, say what I can do,
To help you overcome the problem."
" You are a writer, the strongest of Mankind,
Tell the people about my problem."
" Ok, I will do so, I promise,
Whatever in my power, to help you."
" Oh! thanks a lot, young writer.
Now I am going. God bless you!"

THE SAME OLD FAMILIAR FEELING

I remember when I was young,
Everyday, I danced and sung,
with the girl, I loved the most,
near the lighthouse, at the coast.

Her Eyes, the Big Ol' blue,

Her lips, Like Roses in dew,
Her hair, like Night Before Dawn,
Her voice, makes Nightingale Moan.

But one day, As destiny decide,

She dies, As her Cycle Collide,
With A truck, The Driver Tried
To save Her, But she Didn't Survive.

Now, I see her in Another girl.

In the breeze, She swiftly Swirl,
Racing With her, with Cycle Is a fun,
But Just Like the last Girl, I lose, She Won.

And I planned Everything, Just like before,

Failed Her Brakes, And Asked to race Once More,
Then Pushed Her before the truck Rolling,
Oh Man! I love This same old familiar feeling.

HANDSOME IS THAT HANDSOME DOES

A shining surface may be captivating for the eye but rotten at the depth. Gold
shines but every shining thing cannot be gold. A person may smile yet he may not be a
good man at heart. Outward shows are misleading and the reality about them may be
discerned only by piercing eyes. The world of reality is hidden behind the world of
appearances. Examples may be found in all works of life.

Facial beauty is purchased by cosmetics and so is knee long artificial hair. Behind
them is hidden ugliness. Real beauty needs no beauty aids. An oily tongue conceals
hypocrisy. Crooks are sweet tongued but are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Sinners regularly visit temples and apply a big ' Tilak' on their forehead which is a
pose concealing villainy. We must not therefore judge things on the basis of face. Value
Intrinsic worth lies in the glitter of deeds, not in external shows. It is the handsome
deeds that bring glory. Lincoln had ugly looks. Tolstoy had a gawky nose.

Gandhiji discarded even the necessary clothes. Inspite of their worthless exterior,
their names are cherished treasure. Therefore, we must guard ourselves against
surface beauty. Real beauty is skin-deep.

HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Once upon a time, a woodcutter,
returning home after collecting woods,
came across a small river
and sat there to relieve his foots.
Suddenly his axe fell into the river
he cried aloud for he had only one
suddenly the river god appear
"what's up! why so serious, son?"
"My axe has fallen into river", the god went
and came up with a golden axe.
"is it that, fella!" God asked, but he resent
"no, mine was just an iron axe."
God went again, and came with a silver one
He said,"are you on drugs on something!
An iron axe I said, dont make a fun.
Otherwise I will hit you with something"
God chuckled and brought his iron axe,
along with the previous two and said,
"For your honesty, keep the two axe"
And then the river god fled.
Woodcutter became rich and got married.
And years after, was strolling in the garden,
with his wife, he came across a well, very deep,
his wife, while looking it, fell in.
water god appeared again,"what's up! Buddy."
he said," My wife fell in, bring her back."
God went and came up with a beauty,
"is this your wife?" woodcutter said "yes".
God laughed, "That's not fair, Buddy.
A beauty changed your heart." He voice
"Not my fault, based on previous memory,
if I said no, you would bring me another choice.
And then I'll say no again to that
and then you will leave all three to me.
handling one is a game of rat.
How will I handle all the three.
So I thought to take the first one."
God then burst into laughter.
"Ok, take the beauty and go to home"
And then they lived happily ever after.

MY GEOMETRY BOX

Today, I was cleaning my shelf.

Suddenly an old pal peeped at me.
I was startled, 'who are you', i asked.
It replied, 'I'm your pal, the Geometry box'.

Remember the time, we spent together.

You threw me here, You threw me there.
And for revenge, I hid your things in me, when you search.
And reveal them after you was frustrated enough.

'Yes, I do remember. And once when you was badly torn,

I ran to my mom to sew you instantly.
She kept saying to buy me a new one,
But i insisted for you, you was my buddy.'

We laughed and I hugged it closely.

Tears came from my eyes, it was time to part.
You have served me enough, my LOYAL SERVANT,
its time for you to take a rest.

And then i packed him in the big box for roof,

And Bid my Best friend Adieu .... !!!!!!!

TIME TO RISE
I Wonder what it's like,
to be in a world where,
mind is a bird there.
Fly high, above the horizon.
No need to get direction.

I Wonder what it's like,

to be in a world where,
Heart is a fish mere.
Cutting through the Big Blue. Not bound,
by rules in the world, found.

I Wonder what it's like,

to be in a world where,
emotions are not fake, but fair.
Not generated from the sense.
But come from true innocence.

I Wonder what it's like,

to be in a world where,
Than sword, pen is truely mightier.
Words come out with a fury.
No place to burn them, neither to bury.

Now its time to build our future.

Be a leader, not a butcher.
Live and let live, follow this advice.
Come on folks, it's time to rise.
