Prerequisite: A working knowledge of Algebra 2 & Trigonometry.

Topics to be Covered: Limits, differentiation, & integration.

Text: Calculus: Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic AP Edition

Grading
The final trimester grade for all required classes is based on a combination of the trimester grade and the final exam.
Trimester is worth 80%
Final exam is worth 20%

Formative Assessment Grade

Assignments: All assignments will NOT be check, but
strongly encouraged that you do them. Answers will be
provided for you to check your work. However, randomly your
assignment will be checked, to keep you on your toes & to
check that you understand the concepts.
Summative Assessment Grade
Test: All test questions will be AP style test questions,
pulled from different AP Calculus tests. Tests will be
scored similar to that of the AP test.

Stop, Drop, & AP: Are either timed or not timed AP test
practice problems, these will be counted as a formative
assignment.

NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED after midnight of

the day its due.

Test / Assignment Check Make-Up: MUST be taken the DAY AFTER being absent. This test can be made-up BEFORE
/ AFTER school or during an arranged time not during class time in Room B219.

Bathroom Passes: Each student will receive 6 tickets that can be used for either the bathroom or class supplies
throughout the trimester. To use a ticket students will put the date and their name on the back of the ticket, hand the ticket
to Ms. Anderson, then sign out on the clipboard & take the hall pass. If a student uses NONE of their tickets at the end of
the trimester the student will receive bonus points toward their over all grade.

School Tardy Policy

1st offense: A detention served during AIM (the next

day) will be issued & a phone call home.
If you receive 5 tardies to class in the trimester
2nd offense: Failure to serve the detention will result in
suspension.

School Attendance Policy/Goal

Students should have LESS THAN 6 ABSENCES a trimester. Consequences will be a lower grade in the class and
additional consequences by the principals.

your child be successful in Geometry.

Remind: This will be used to send you reminders about tests, & assignments. This is a great way for both the students
to stay informed about whats happening in class.

PowerSchool: ps.rcs.misd.net/public/ - To access your childs grades daily (if your child needs a user name &
password, email their assistant principals secretary).
