Introduction
The burrs formed during punching process
deteriorates the insulation and forms random
galvanic contacts at the edges of electrical sheets.
These contacts provides the additional path for the
eddy current and causes the additional losses.

Results and conclusion
Significant increase in losses due to burr at higher frequencies in laminated sheets
7.7 % of total electromagnetic loss was estimated as additional loss in 37 kW induction machine
