Every Jedi Ever

Share.
Feel the Force around you with our timeline detailing every Jedi Knight ever in the Star Wars canon
universe!
By Scott Collura For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and
justice in the Old Republic
The Jedi have inspired our imaginations for decades now, from the early days of Luke, Obi-Wan and
Yoda, through the Prequel adventures where we saw the Jedi Order in their prime, and on into the
excellent Clone Wars animated series and beyond. And now, of course, we have an entirely new chapter
in the history of the Jedi with the arrival of a new trilogy starting with The Force Awakens.
In tribute to these iconic figures, weve retrieved from the holocrons of the Jedi Archives a complete
list of every Jedi ever. From Qui-Gon Jinn and Mace Windu to Plo Koon and Yaddle (!), and all the
way through to Ezra Bridger and Luke Skywalker, this timeline collects all the canon Jedi created for
the movies, TV shows, books, stories and comics. (But please note, these are canon Jedi only.
Lucasfilm no longer considers the Expanded Universe to be an official part of the Star Wars saga.)
Watch the video above for the full experience, or read on if you prefer. And of course may the
Force be with you!
Full spoilers follow for Star Wars: The Force Awakens... Continues
The Phantom Menace
While the Jedi were created by George Lucas in the early 1970s when he was writing the first film, Star
Wars: A New Hope, the first canon appearance of the mystical order came in 1999s The Phantom
Menace when the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi took the screen.
Lucas is said to have gotten the name "Jedi" from the term jidaigeki, or Japanese period dramas. Star
Wars was famously inspired by samurai films, and the connection between the Jedi and the samurai is
obvious.
Soon Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were joined by young Anakin Skywalker, who would grow to adulthood
over the span of the three Prequel films and of course ultimately become the villain Darth Vader, Dark
Lord of the Sith -- the evil and ancient enemies of the Jedi.
Qui-Gon Jinn
Species: Human
Trained by: Count Dooku
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The Jedi who discovered Anakin Skywalker and determined that he was the
Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Species: Human
Trained by: Qui-Gon Jinn
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The mentor to Anakin Skywalker and, years later, Anakin's son Luke. Served as a
general in the Clone Wars before going into hiding as one of the only survivors of Order 66.
Anakin Skywalker
Species: Human
Trained by: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Rank: Jedi Knight
Holocron bio: The boy immaculately conceived via midi-chlorians who grew up to become a
great Jedi, only to be seduced by the Dark Side, assist in the decimation of the Order, and
become the hated Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Many other Jedi were introduced in that film, including a background extra who would later be
retconned into an undercover Jedi known as Quinlan Vos.
The leaders of the Order, the Jedi Council, also debuted in Phantom Menace, where the wise and
beloved Original Trilogy character Yoda served as Grand Master. Mace Windu was the next highest-
ranking member of the Council, and had a rare purple lightsaber to show for it. A variety of strange and
exotic Jedi sat on the Council of 12, including the Cerean Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Plo Koon, who required a
special mask and eye filters in order to breathe an oxygen atmosphere.
Quinlan Vos
Species: Human/Kiffar
Trained by: Tholme
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Renowned for his ability to read the memories of others and use them as a
tracker. Often took on covert missions for the Jedi, including an (unsuccessful) attempt with
Asajj Ventress to assassinate Count Dooku.
Yoda
Species: Unknown
Master to: Count Dooku, Luke Skywalker
Rank: Grand Master
Holocron bio: The 900-year-old Jedi Master who led the Order in its final days and, decades
later while in hiding on Dagobah, trained Luke Skywalker to carry on the traditions of the Jedi.
Mace Windu
Species: Human
Homeworld: Haruun Kal
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The most senior member of the Jedi Council, aside from Yoda, during the Clone
Wars. In later years, Imperial propaganda claimed Mace Windu had been the leader of a
criminal gang who caused the start of the wars.
Ki-Adi-Mundi
Species: Cerean
Leader of: The Galactic Marines
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: A member of the Jedi Council and a general in the Clone Wars, Ki-Adi-Mundi
was gunned down by his own Clone Troopers on the Outer Rim planet Mygeeto when Order 66
was put into effect.
Plo Koon
Species: Kel Dor
Homeworld: Dorin
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Plo Koon first discovered the Force-sensitive child Ahsoka Tano, who would
eventually become Anakin Skywalkers Padawan. This Council member required a mask when
in oxygen atmospheres due to his Kel Dor physiology.
Seeing these many new faces was a far cry from the original three films, where the Jedi were all but
extinct. Now Lucas could give us a female Yoda in Yaddle, or more mysterious characters whose
physical appearance only hinted at their lives as Jedi Knights and Masters.
Still, these truly alien members of the council -- like the serpentine Oppo Rancisis, or the beautiful Adi
Gallia -- would not have much to do in Episode I. Their stories would eventually be fleshed out in the
Expanded Universe line of books, comics and other media, although the EU is no longer considered to
be canon. Even so, many of them would eventually get more action on the Clone Wars animated series,
which is still part of the official Star Wars story. And several of these Jedi would finally get to brandish
their lightsabers in the next film, Attack of the Clones.
Saesee Tiin
Species: Iktotchi
Known for: Starfighter piloting skills
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: A member of the Jedi Council, Saesee Tiin was among those slaughtered in a
lightsaber battle with Palpatine when the Supreme Chancellor was revealed to be the Sith Lord
Darth Sidious.
Yaddle
Species: Unknown
Known for: Strong affinity for the Force
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Hailing from the same mysterious race as Yoda, the female Yaddle served on the
Jedi Council around the time of the invasion of Naboo.
Even Piell
Species: Lannik
Known for: Lightsaber combat abilities
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Even Piell also held a seat on the Council at the time of the invasion of Naboo,
though he became a prisoner of war during the Clone Wars. He was killed while attempting to
escape.
Oppo Rancisis
Species: Thisspiasian
Known for: Tactical insight
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: A member of the serpentine species from the planet Thisspias, Oppo Rancisis
served on the Jedi Council for years and became a general during the Clone Wars.
Adi Gallia
Species: Tholothian
Known for: Form V lightsaber combat
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Adi Gallia was a Jedi Master who sat on the Council until she was killed by Darth
Mauls brother Savage Opress. Subsequently, her cousin Stass Allie took her place on the
Council.
Yarael Poof
Species: Quermian
Known for: The art of mind control
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The Quermian Jedi Council member Yarael Poof had two brains -- and an extra
set of arms.
Eeth Koth
Species: Zabrak
Homeworld: Nar Shaddaa
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: A member of the Council, Eeth Koth was captured by the cyborg General
Grievous during the Clone Wars. But thanks to a secret message sent by Koth, the Jedi was
saved during a rescue mission led by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Adi Gallia.
Depa Billaba
Species: Chalactan
Master to: Kanan Jarrus (a.k.a. Caleb Dume)
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The former Padawan of Mace Windu, Depa Billaba eventually became a
respected member of the Council herself. She died during Order 66 protecting her own
Padawan, Caleb Dume, who would survive the Jedi Purge and change his name to Kanan Jarrus.
Attack of the Clones
Taking place a decade after the previous film, Episode II introduced several new Jedi who would
become recurring players for years to come. This included the aquatic Kit Fisto and the
master/Padawan duo of Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee. In The Clone Wars series, Offee would
eventually lose faith in the Jedi ways and betray her brothers and sisters in the Order, going so far as to
arrange for the Jedi Temple to be bombed.
Some new Council members debuted in Attack of the Clones as well, including Shaak Ti and Coleman
Trebor. Many of these Jedi would go on to become generals when the Clone Wars broke out at the end
of this film.
Kit Fisto
Species: Nautolan
Master to: Nahdar Vebb
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The amphibious Kit Fisto was a member of the Jedi Council who was able to
fight the Clone Wars on worlds both dry and watery. He was killed by Darth Sidious on the
night of the Jedi Purge.
Luminara Unduli
Species: Mirialan
Master to: Barriss Offee
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Although this Jedi Master avoided death when Order 66 was implemented, she
was captured and executed by Imperial forces soon after that fateful night. Her remains were
used for years afterwards to attract and trap other Jedi.
Barriss Offee
Species: Mirialan
Trained by: Luminara Unduli
Rank: Padawan
Holocron bio: A Padawan who fought during the Clone Wars, Barriss Offee betrayed her fellow
Jedi after she became convinced that the Order was on the wrong side of the conflict. She
eventually coordinated the bombing of the Temple, causing the death of several Jedi.
Shaak Ti
Species: Togruta
Homeworld: Shili
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: A Council member and general during the wars, Shaak Ti also oversaw the
training of the Clone Troopers on Kamino for a time. Shaak Ti and Ahsoka Tano hail from the
same homeworld of Shili.
Coleman Trebor
Species: Vurk
Homeworld: Sembla
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: This member of the Jedi Council was killed by Jango Fett during the Battle of
Geonosis.
Not all Jedi were fighters, however. Jocasta Nu was the chief librarian of the Jedi Archives. And
the Temple was home to Younglings and Padawans as well, such as Zett Jukassa -- who, by the
way, was played by George Lucas son Jett. Here we also learned that Yoda would teach entire
classes of Younglings in the ways of the Force -- and the art of the lightsaber.
Sifo-Dyas was an intriguing addition to the Jedi in that he was dead by the time he was first mentioned
in Episode II. But his actions had a long-standing impact on that galaxy far, far away, as it was he who
commissioned the creation of the Clone Army. The animated series would later reveal that it was the
fallen Jedi Master Count Dooku who had Dyas killed.

Jocasta Nu
Species: Human
Homeworld: Coruscant
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Jocasta Nu was a former member of the Council who served as Chief Librarian of
the Jedi Archives prior to and during the Clone Wars.
Zett Jukassa
Species: Human
Rank: Padawan
Holocron bio: On the night of Order 66, the Padawan Zett Jukassa was murdered while fighting
off Clone Troopers at the Jedi Temple as Senator Bail Organa looked on helplessly. Jukassa was
also seen briefly in the library scene in Attack of the Clones.
Aayla Secura
Species: Twi'lek
Trained by: Quinlan Vos
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Aayla Secura was among the Jedi who rescued Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan
Kenobi and Padme Amidala during the Battle of Geonosis. She would go on to serve as a
general in the Clone Wars before being killed by her own troops on Felucia when Order 66 was
carried out.
Episode II Younglings
Holocron bio: During the period leading up to the Clone Wars, Younglings were trained at the
Temple by Yoda prior to becoming Padawan learners. Only rarely did a Force-sensitive child
skip this step on the way to becoming a Jedi Knight, as did Anakin Skywalker.
Sifo-Dyas
Species: Human
Homeworld: Cassandran Worlds
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The Jedi who secretly ordered the creation of the Clone Army, Sifo-Dyas foresaw
the Clone Wars years before they began. He was later killed on the order of Count Dooku.
Count Dooku
Species: Human
Trained by: Yoda
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The Jedi Master who left the Order after growing disillusioned with the Galactic
Republic. Dooku turned to the Dark Side, became the leader of the Separatist movement, and
sparked the Clone Wars. He was finally killed by Anakin Skywalker at the behest of his own
Sith Master, Darth Sidious.
Other Jedi introduced in Attack of the Clones included Pablo-Jill and Bultar Swan -- who were never
seen again in canon. The Zabrak, Agen Kolar, only appeared officially in three stories, and would meet
his end at the end of Darth Sidious lightsaber in Revenge of the Sith.
Stass Allie, a cousin of Adi Gallia, made her first appearance during the Battle of Geonosis in Episode
II. As did some 200 other Jedi who have gone mostly unnamed since the film was released. Scores of
these Jedi were killed during the battle, providing the first onscreen evidence that the Jedi werent quite
as invincible as the Original Trilogy of films might have led some to believe.
Pablo-Jill/Bultar Swan
Species: Unknown (Ongree?)/Human
Rank: Jedi Knight
Holocron bio: Jedi Knights who fought at the Battle of Geonosis. Their only canon appearance
was in Attack of the Clones.
Agen Kolar

one of the Jedi killed by Darth Sidious when Mace Windu attempted to arrest the Sith Lord.
Stass Allie
Species: Tholothian
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: The cousin of Jedi Adi Gallia, Stass Allie was a member of the Council during
the Clone Wars. She was killed on the planet Saleucami during Order 66 when her men shot
down her speeder bike.
Battle of Geonosis Jedi
Holocron bio: During this battle, which kicked off the Clone Wars, hundreds of background Jedi
fought the Separatists led by Count Dooku. Most of these Jedi Knights were never given official
canon names, but the few who did follow: Nicanas Tassu, Sephjet Josall, Sar Labooda, Sarissa
Jeng, Ekim Ryelli, Lumas Etima, Tan Yuster, Fi-Ek Sirch, Que-Mars Redath-Gom, Ichi-Tan
Micoda, Roan Shryne, Joclad Danva, Roth-Del Masona, Tarados Gon, Sora Bulq, Khaat Qiyn
and Bairdon Jace
The Clone Wars
Chronologically, the Clone Wars animated show kicks in at this point. Ahsoka Tano would prove to be
a very important and popular character as the Padawan to Anakin Skywalker. And Asajj Ventress would
be equally memorable as a former Jedi-learner who turned to the Dark Side.

Ahsoka Tano
Species: Togruta
Trained by: Anakin Skywalker
Rank: Padawan
Holocron bio: Anakin Skywalkers Padawan during the Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano left the Order
after being wrongly accused of the bombing of the Jedi Temple. Years later, she would become
a key player in the rebellion against the Empire.
Asajj Ventress
Species: Dathomirian
Trained by: Ky Narec
Rank: Padawan
Holocron bio: At a young age, Asajj Ventress was freed from slavery and trained in the ways of
the Force by the Jedi Ky Narec. Unfortunately, when he was killed, Ventress turned to the Dark
Side and Count Dooku. However, eventually she redeemed herself, and her lover Quinlan Vos,
in an act of sacrifice that took her life.
Many of the Jedi from the Prequels would get substantial development on the show, while new
members of the order, like Master Ima-Gun Di, would continue to be introduced. Nahdar Vebb, from
the same race as Admiral Ackbar, had just graduated to full Knighthood when he was killed by General
Grievous. Some of these Jedi made inauspicious debuts, like Bolla Ropal, who was tortured to death,
and Ord Enisence, who was only seen as a corpse. Alas, things would get worse for the Jedi soon
enough.
The show also gave us Force Babies -- young ones who were sensitive to that all-important energy field
and thus fell under the Jedi gaze at a young age. So cute!
The many races of the Star Wars universe were well represented in the Clone Wars, like the Roonan,
Halsey, and the Nautolan, Knox. Eekar Oki hailed from the same Mon Calamari race as Admiral
Ackbar and Nahdar Vebb. There were also tentacle-headed Twi'leks and reptilian Nikto, like Finn Ertay
and her unnamed Jedi comrade, who were killed by the cyborg Darth Maul and his brother, Savage
Opress. Tera Sinube was a Cosian Jedi Master who once again proved that not all Jedi are solely
diplomats, warriors and swordsman. He excelled as a crime-solving investigator!
Ima-Gun Di
Species: Nikto
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: This Nikto Jedi Master died while helping the Twilek Resistance movement on
the planet Ryloth. His name predicted his fate.
Nahdar Vebb

Grievous not long after graduating to full Knighthood.
Bolla Ropal

which held the identities of Force-sensitive children. He died protecting its secrets while being
tortured by the bounty hunter Cad Bane.
Ord Enisence
Species: Skrilling
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: A Jedi Master killed by Cad Bane prior to the incident involving Bolla Ropal,
Ord Enisence was impersonated by Banes fellow bounty hunter, the shapeshifting Cato
Parasitti, during their penetration of the Jedi Temple.
Force Babies
Names: Wee Dunn/Zinn Toa/Roo-Roo Page
Species: Rodian/Nautolan/Gungan
Holocron bio: After stealing the Kyber Crystal, Cad Bane attempted to kidnap several Force-
sensitive children on behalf of Darth Sidious. Fortunately, he was stopped by the Jedi.
Halsey/Knox
Species: Roonan/Nautolan
Rank: Jedi Master/Padawan
Holocron bio: This Master and Padawan duo were both killed at the Temple of Eedit on
Devaron by Darth Maul's brother Savage Opress.
Eekar Oki
Species: Mon Calamari
Rank: Unknown
Holocron bio: This Jedi was often seen on Coruscant during the Clone Wars, though little else is
known about him.
Finn Ertay/Unnamed Nikto Jedi
Species: Twi'lek/Nikto
Rank: Unknown
Holocron bio: The deaths of these Jedi at the hands of the Nightbrothers Darth Maul and Savage
Opress led Obi-Wan Kenobi and Adi Gallia to hunt down those two Sith. Alas, Gallia too would
be slain by Opress while on that mission.
Tera Sinube
Species: Cosian
Known for: Investigative skills
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Tera Sinube was an expert on the Coruscant underworld, using that knowledge
along with his crimes-solving skills to locate Ahsoka Tano's lightsaber when it was stolen.
Younglings received the focus at times on Clone Wars, as in the Season 5 four-part story which
focused on Ahsoka's mission to escort a group of kids to the Crystal Caves of Ilum. It was there
that they would find the stones required to build their own lightsabers.
In the episode "Nightsisters," we would learn that Ky Narec was Asajj Ventress's Master before he died
-- an incident which in part turned her towards the Dark Side.
Pong Krell had four arms, which allowed him to use two double-bladed lightsabers simultaneously.
Nice! Unfortunately, he too turned to the Dark Side when he saw foresaw the end of the Jedi Order.
As the Clone Wars -- both the show and the fictional war itself -- headed inexorably towards its end,
tragedy struck when the Jedi Temple was bombed. This was the incident ordered by the traitor Barriss
Offee, and six members of the Jedi were killed in the explosion. Unfortunately, this was only a
precursor to the fate the rest of the Jedi Temple residents would soon face with Order 66.
The Clone Wars Younglings
Holocron bio: Several new Younglings were introduced during The Clone Wars series, including
Ran Deezy, Farn Klin, Kalifa, O-Mer, Jinx, Petro, Katooni, Byph, Ganodi, Zatt, Gungi and two
unnamed Younglings.
Ky Narec
Species: Human
Master to: Asajj Ventress
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: This Jedi became the mentor to a young Asajj Ventress when he was stranded on
the planet Rattatak. After a decade together, Narec was killed by Weequay raiders, an incident
which began to push Ventress towards the Dark Side.
Pong Krell
Species: Besalisk
Homeworld: Ojom
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Realizing that the Jedi and the Republic were doomed, Pong Krell decided to
embrace the Dark Side in order to save himself. He was ultimately killed by his own men,
however.
Thongla Jur
Species: Anx
Rank: Unknown
Holocron bio: Little is known about this Jedi who served during the Clone Wars. He was the
owner of the astromech droid U9-C4.

Jedi Temple Bombing Victims

Holocron bio: Six Jedi, including Tutso Mara, were killed in the bombing which was
coordinated by the traitorous Barriss Offee. While Ahsoka Tano was accused of and tried for the
bombing, her name was eventually cleared. Still, she left the Jedi following these events, having
lost faith in the Order.
Background Jedi Temple Residents
Holocron bio: A handful of background Jedi can be seen in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of
the Sith, although little is known about these characters.
Cin Drallig and his guards protected the Temple. In time, Drallig would be slaughtered in the Jedi
Purge by Anakin Skywalker after he turned to the Dark Side.
The Mikkian twin sisters Tiplar and Tiplee both met unfortunate ends before the war was even over.
Tiplar was killed by one of her own Clone Troopers when his Order 66 programming was activated
prematurely. And Tiplee was cut down by Count Dooku himself.
Rig Nema was a Jedi doctor who tended to none other than Yoda at one time. The last jedi revealed in
the Clone Wars series was Master Tu-Anh, who was seen as a corpse in an unfinished -- but canon --
episode of the show, when Obi-Wan and Anakin were sent to investigate her murder.

Jedi Temple Guard/Cin Drallig

Holocron bio: Cin Drallig was in charge of the Jedi Temple Guard during the Clone Wars.
While Drallig carried a standard green-bladed lightsaber, the members of the Guard used
double-bladed lightsaber pikes which had an uncommon yellow blade.
Coleman Kcaj
Species: Unknown (Ongree?)
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: This Jedi served on the Council, appearing in Revenge of the Sith and later
episodes of The Clone Wars. Little is known about him in canon and he has never even spoken
onscreen.
Tiplar/Tiplee
Species: Mikkian
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Tiplar and Tiplee were twin sisters and Jedi Masters who served as generals
during the Clone Wars. The exotic-looking pair shared identical tattoos on their foreheads.
Rig Nema
Species: Unknown
Known for: Medical expertise
Rank: Unknown
Holocron bio: This Jedi doctor treated Yoda at one point during the Clone Wars when the Grand
Master inexplicably began to hear the voice of the long-dead Qui-Gon Jinn. Eventually, Yoda
would realize that Qui-Gon had learned how to transcend death, a trick that he would teach
Yoda too.
Tu-Anh
Species: Human
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: This Jedi was killed on the Outer Rim world of Utapau. Obi-Wan described her
as something of a maverick who would often disappear for long periods to conduct rogue
investigations without the input of the Council.
Books/Stories/Comics
In 2014, Lucasfilm announced that its Expanded Universe stories were no longer considered canon.
Several new official canon books, short stories and comics have been released since then, however,
revealing a handful of new Jedi. For the most part, these Jedi have only gotten a passing mention or
reference, and we dont even know what most of them look like.
Tholme

Order.
Phin-Law Wo

Species: Unknown
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: This Master Jedi served at the Temple on the barren world Vrogas Vas.

Species: Unknown
Rank: Jedi Master
Holocron bio: Little is known about Yoda's Jedi Master, other than his having trained the young
Yoda 800 years prior to the fall of the Republic.
Revenge of the Sith
Revenge of the Sith featured surprisingly few new Jedi, considering the film depicted the decimation of
the Order. Still, a group of Younglings were shown moments before their murder. This included poor
Sors Bandeam, who would pay the price for his misplaced faith in Master Skywalker. The Padawans
Whie and Bene were also killed by Anakin -- who had by now become Darth Vader -- during his attack
on the Jedi Temple that fateful night.
Episode III Younglings
Holocron bio: A new batch of Jedi Younglings was seen in Revenge of the Sith. Unfortunately,
moments later they would be slaughtered (offscreen) by Anakin Skywalker, who by now had
fallen to the Dark Side.
Whie/Bene
Species: Human
Rank: Padawan
Holocron bio: These Padawans were also killed by Anakin Skywalker in the Jedi Temple at the
same time that he murdered Cin Drallig. Obi-Wan later watched a holo-recording of the
incident.
Rebels
Of course, some Jedi did survive in the dark years of the Empires reign. The animated series Star
Wars: Rebels features Kanan Jarrus. He was a Padawan when his Master Depa Billaba sacrificed
herself to save him during Order 66. In order to stay hidden, he suppressed his true identity and Jedi
nature in the years that followed. But eventually he met the Force-sensitive boy Ezra Bridger, who he
took on as his own Padawan.
Kanan Jarrus (a.k.a. Caleb Dume)
Species: Human
Master to: Ezra Bridger
Rank: Padawan (at the time of Order 66)
Holocron bio: This Padawan learner was able to escape Order 66 and go into hiding. Changing
his name to Kanan Jarrus, he eventually met young Ezra Bridger, who he took on as his own
student in the ways of the Force. Together they served on the freighter the Ghost as part of the
rebellion against the Empire.
Ezra Bridger

Species: Human
Weapons: Hybrid Lightsaber/Blaster, Energy Slingshot
Rank: Padawan
Holocron bio: Ezra Bridger was an orphan from the planet Lothal whose life changed when he
met the crew of the Ghost and joined their crusade against the Empire. At this time, he also
began to learn the ways of the Jedi under Kanan Jarrus.
A New Hope
What happened to Kanan and Ezra by the time of the Original Trilogy of films is unclear. It would be
Luke Skywalker who would take center stage at that time, as the heir to the Jedi ways, the savior of the
Rebel Alliance, and the only one who could redeem his father Anakin, thus bringing the balance to the
Force that had been long prophesized according to legend.
Luke Skywalker
Species: Human
Trained by: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda
Rank: Jedi Knight
Holocron bio: The farm boy from Tatooine who inherited his fathers Force sensitivity, Luke
Skywalker grew up ignorant of his true origins until he met Obi-Wan Kenobi. The aged Jedi
introduced Luke to the Force, and in time Skywalker would become a great Jedi himself, a hero
of the Rebel Alliance, and the only person who could help Anakin Skywalker find redemption.
The Force Awakens, Expanded Universe and Beyond
With the arrival of The Force Awakens, we now know that Kylo Ren -- a.k.a. Ben Solo -- once trained
under Luke, as did a group of other Force-sensitive individuals. Ren turned to the Dark Side and Luke
disappeared, seemingly dispelling the promise of a new Jedi Order.
Ben Solo/Luke's Padawans
Names: Ben Solo (a.k.a. Kylo Ren)/Unknown Dead Padawans
Holocron bio: Luke Skywalker trained his nephew Ben Solo and a new generation of Force-
sensitives in the ways of the Jedi until Ben turned to the Dark Side. Under the influence of
Supreme Leader Snoke, Solo took the name Kylo Ren and betrayed his uncle and fellow
Padawans.
But now with the arrival of Rey and her discovery of Luke in isolation, there is once again hope for the
Jedi. Where things go from here remains to be seen, including whether or not any of the beloved
Expanded Universe characters will be incorporated into canon as the franchise moves forward. But one
thing is certain: The Force will be with the Jedi -- and the Star Wars fans who love them -- always...
