Bentley Utilities Designer is a comprehensive design and

GIS-based management application for electric, gas, water,
and wastewater utility networks. The software combines
GIS-agnostic engineering-grade design, on-the-fly cost
estimation, design management, and a utility-specific GIS
into a single product that enables utility owner-operators
to increase productivity, accelerate projects, and reduce
software costs.

Bentley Utilities Designer provides intelligent CAD-based design tools that
integrate with a variety of enterprise GIS systems, including the built-in Bentley
Map-based design editor. Designers quickly achieve the necessary drawing
precision and quality with Smart Placement and Editing enabled by drag-and-drop
placement from an interactive catalog of intelligent GIS features and compatible
units supported by configurable business rules and standards. These tools speed
layout by avoiding the drawing inefficiency of GIS-based design applications. MicroStation-based tools including AccuDraw and AccuSnap speed layout.

Bentley Utilities Designer publishes high-quality construction documentation
directly from the design environment, avoiding the need to redraw designs in a
separate CAD application. Designers can meet the construction print standards of
their organization by leveraging support for a variety of paper sizes, printers, and
plotters, as well as configurable plotting templates that include imagery, legends,
north arrows, plotting to scale, and interactively defined grids and graticules.
