hard work, ligament, tendon, muscle or bone injury, fractures, poor circulation or tie
up?
-PEMF (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field) Exercise Therapy is widely used in conditioning
race horses at race tracks around the world.
-PEMF Exercise Therapy regenerates damaged and diseased tissue, repairs torn
tendons and fractured bones.
-PEMF Exercise Therapy enhances the synthesis of protein in the cells, allowing the
body to take advantage of all the protein available.
-PEMF Exercise Therapy improves circulation, not by increasing heartbeat or blood
pressure, but by opening and dilating the arteries and capillaries. This also reduces
edema (swelling).
-PEMF Exercise Therapy increases the cellular level of oxygen absorption. Studies have
shown that oxygen partial pressure can be increased by 200%. This reduces pain
associated with lack of sufficient oxygen. Also, insufficient oxygen in the cells causes
lactic acid buildup under strenuous exercise.
-PEMF Exercise Therapy is particularly effective in getting to deep muscle soreness
(back, stifle, etc.) because of its deep penetration.
Why PEMF Exercise Therapy over static magnets. Only Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field
(PEMF) force and not static magnets can influence electrical changes on a cellular level
within the body for cell metabolism to be influenced. In addition static magnets only
create continuous low levels of magnetic induction. Our PEMF device delivers a very
short duration, controllable, high intensity magnetic pulse. This results in a PEMF which
penetrates completely through joints and muscles for a complete therapy in just 20
minutes!
Time Needed for Therapy. Our PEMF system only needs to be used for 15-20 minutes
each day. This means that, in the space of one day, you can use the one PEMF device
for all the horses in your barn.
Published, scientific studies abound for pulsed magnetic field therapy. PEMF has been
FDA cleared and widely used in the treatment of human delayed bone fractures for over
two decades, and there is a growing body of literature concerning the biological and
clinical effects of this energy. A recent study using pulsed magnetic fields reminds us
that in clinical studies done over 40 years, over millions of patients have been treated
safely with PEMF. Now you can use this therapy on YOUR horses too!
INGLEWOOD, Calif. - Lava Man has already secured a place in racing history. Not many
$50,000 claimers go on to win multiple Grade 1 stakes and many millions of dollars in
winnings. Lava Man was purchased in a Claimer Race for $50,000. Lava Man was then
treated with the PMT-100AT, because of an abscess in his left front foot, which then
healed in 4 days with the use of this device. Lava Man came back from his foot injury in
2006 and blossomed into a superstar. Lava Man has won 7 Grade 1 races ranking him
as the all-time leader among California-breds. Lava Man is the all-time leading earner
among claimers and is arguably the greatest claim in racing history.
"In all living things energy is
more fundamental than chemistry."
- James Oschman, author of Energy Medicine
It is interesting to note that normal cells are not usually impacted by magnetic fields.
Compromised cells, called meta-stable cells, are more likely to be impacted. This means that
PEMFs have more impact in circumstances where there is imbalance in tissues or cells, ie,
where there is pathology or chronic inflammation. PEMF Therapy has been found to reduce
chronic, damaging inflammation.
+ Increase Circulation
- One of the most basic functions magnetic fields have in the body is to increase circulation,
not by increasing heartbeat or blood pressure, but by opening and dilating the arteries and
capillaries. When a cell (such as a red blood cell) is injured or ill, it does not hold its ideal
charge. This causes red blood cells to "stick" together, making circulation slow. When a
magnetic field passes through the cell, the membrane becomes properly charged, allowing the
cell to repel itself and keep separate from other cells, thereby increasing circulation. Blood
vessels dilate improving the amount of blood flowing through the vessels and therefore
increasing the amount of oxygen delivered to the tissues.
- Poor circulation makes tissues unhealthy and prone to disease and breakdown. Improved
circulation helps tissues get the nutrition they need, while expelling the waste they produce.
-Good circulation helps tissue with healing and regeneration, reduces swelling and bruising.
1. LifePULSE PEMF has the ability to detect where a horse is sore or injured
because areas of soreness will twitch or pulse in a certain way, which can be
recognized by a trained PEMF practitioner.
2. The PEMF system we use is an easily adjustable device. This ability to adjust
the intensity provides gentle but optimal level of power to a specific area and
receive immediate results.
3. LifePULSE PEMF therapy can provide the optimal level of power to a specific
point anywhere on a horse. This is particularly useful when treating areas like;
hamstrings, necks, legs, abscess in hoofs and accupressure points for a wide
variety of issues such as colic and calming points.
.
LifePULSE PEMF Therapy vs. Shockwave?
As explained above in "what happens when treating a horse..", the cellular exercise
that rehabilitates cells is unique to PEMF. The following are the main points
of differentiation:
1. LifePULSE PEMF offers the ability to detect where a horse is sore or injured
because only the sore areas will twitch or pulse. Shockwave has no ability to
detect soreness, just treatment of a specific point.
2. LifePULSE PEMF can be used on the whole body. Shockwave can only be
done on a specific point such as back or legs.
3. LifePULSE is Non-invasive, NO sedation is required, while horses quickly
relax and enjoy the treatment. Shockwave is invasive and painful as it creates
energy by concussion and sound waves.
4. LifePULSE does not require sedation and has no potential to damage calls.
Shockwave requires sedation. Because of the damaging potential and
required sedation, the treatment must be performed by a Veterinarian.
5. LifePULSE has a wide focal area and the wave area does not diminish as it
penetrates the body. Shockwave has a small focal area of a couple of inches
wide at the skin that goes down to a point at it's deepest penetration.
6. LifePULSE magnetic wave can travel up to 16 inches into the body. Shock
wave has a maximum penetration of about 4 inches.
1. LifePULSE has the ability to detect where a horse is sore or injured because
only the sore areas will twitch or pulse. Laser has no ability to detect
soreness, just treatment of a specific point.
2. LifePULSE PEMF therapy has a wide focal area and the wave area does
not diminish as it penetrates the body. Laser has a very small focal area of
less than in inch.
3. LifePULSE magnetic wave travels up to 16 inches into the body. Laser has a
limited penetration of less than 2 inches, unless the power is increased, which
increases the potential to damage the cells at the surface.
4. LifePULSE can be used on the whole body and takes 30 to 45 minutes for a
full body treatment. Since Laser has such a small focal point, it takes a long
time to treat a larger area making full body treatments not likely.
5. *FYI - Studies have shown that PEMF is more effective than Lasers for Pain
Relief in people
