It has become increasingly popular that people are conscious of what type of
products they are using and the ingredients they are putting onto their skin,
especially in terms of skin care. More natural remedy based products, like Like much of the ingredients information skin type information is rarely
those found in Lush, are beginning to get more recognition due to their natural documented. Products typically state for oily skin or for combination skin
ingredients and multiple skin benefits. However many customers lack the with the presumption that the customers automatically know their skin
knowledge of why the ingredients are used. They are drawn to the fact that type.
the products are natural but dont know why the products benefit for having
the ingredients they contain. Much of this information can be very heavy going and quite confusing
especially for those who know little about skin care. It is then vital to make
this information more interesting and quite direct so the audience are
provided with key points of information instantly whilst being visually
drawn and interested in the documents themselves.

Much of the information provided to use about the ingredients within a product
is simply listed in an ingredients list and very rarely discuss why the
ingredients have been used (sometimes done for one or two of main
ingredients).

Another communication problem focuses on the audiences knowledge of skin

type. This is a common issue and many people either dont know their skin
type or use the wrong type of products that would help maintain health skin.

The designs will aim to be used in store. The flowchart will be located as part of store decor placed around the shop
but focused primarily around the skin care area. The pictograms from the flowchart will also be used as stickers on
the products themselves. This will help show the customer directly the skin type the product is most beneficial for.
Ideally they would have used the flowchart to work out their skin type and would then associate the icon linked to
their result with the stickers.

The booklet pages will also be as some product packaging. Most products have the name and general information
located around the side of the pot, yet the top sticker will be occasionally replaced with a sticker of the page
showing information about one of the main ingredients in that product. This wouldnt be on all products but can be
implemented to create a type of limited edition effect. However the booklets will be located around the shop for
customers to use whilst browsing and purchase if desired.

The colour scheme initially consisted of black and white, yet I felt the designs appeared
very boring and there was nothing that caught an audiences attention. For the flow chart I
