LCD W. BOARD / MARKER

1. Ask students their previous knowledge.

2. Teacher shows the a few sets of relations to determine which a
function is.
3. Teacher gives definition of a function and explains. Functions must fulfil
both conditions.
ACTIVIT(IES) - Each object has only one image.
- One to one or many to one relation
4. Given that, f represents a function,
f : x 3x + 2 , function f maps x to 3x + 2
f (x) = 3x + 2 3x + 2 is the image of x under the function f.
5. Teacher gives a few examples of function and asks students to
determine object given the image and vice versa.
6. Students will be given exercises about topic today.
