(EagleBurgmann EJ) has many years of experience
in manufacturing of gas-tight fabric expansion joints
for exhaust ducts behind gas turbines.
EagleBurgmann EJ is constantly performing
research and development in fabric expansion joint
technology for large, heavy duty gas turbines,
inclusive of GEs well-known Frame 7F(A/B), Frame
9F(A/B), Frame 7H and Frame 9H gas turbines in
Combined Cycle operation.
Among the developments is a gas tight fabric
expansion joint cover for the GE Flex-Seal. The
solution was developed to upgrade existing GE gas
turbines equipped with the GE Flex-Seal between
the GT exhaust flange and diffuser duct.
GE Flex-Seals are not gas tight and over time, as a
result of wear and tear, the Flex-Seals loose their
sealing capability, which again leads to excessive
emissions of hot exhaust gases to the environment.
The only OEM approved solution to stop the leakage
of hot exhaust gases is EagleBurgmann EJSs Flex-
Seal Expansion Joint Cover.
