Commonwealth funding provided through the students with disability loading is a notional attribution only as
Commonwealth funding is paid to systems as a block, and the system determines the final distribution o f funding.
Further, the 2017 and 2018 amounts are not fully comparable at a state and sector level as the disability loading from
2018 interacts with broader changes to the SRS and transition towards consistent Commonwealth shares. Finally, the
loading should be considered as one component of total funding, as schools spend all Commonwealth recurrent funding
on meeting the individual needs of their students, including those with a disability.
