Aug. 1 5 p.m. Graduate and Undergraduate Students - Deadline to file Application for Degree
Candidacy in December with Academic College Dean.
Aug. 3 Tuition emergency loans start.
Aug. 17 4 p.m. Payment Deadline. A $35 Late Payment Fee will be assessed for registering
and/or paying after this date.
Aug. 17 Book emergency loans start.
Aug. 22 9 a.m. Residence Halls open.
Aug. 22 General Faculty/Staff Meeting, Jones Auditorium.
Aug. 22-23 Meetings of deans with departmental chairs.
Aug. 22-23 Departmental meetings.
Aug. 24 First class meetings of all regular students.
Aug. 27 First class meetings of all Saturday students.
Aug. 31-Sept. 9 Permission from the adviser and professor to register or change classes.
Sept. 5 Labor Day holiday.
Sept. 9 5 p.m. NO REGISTRATION BEYOND THIS POINT. Twelfth Class Day. Census
Date.
Sept. 16 Deadline for students applying for graduation to complete the Change of Name
Request form with the Office of the Registrar.
Sept.23 Last day for students completing graduation requirements in December to
submit their Application for Candidacy form approved by their Academic Dean
with the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Sept. 28 Five-week Point.
Oct. 3 Period for students planning May or August graduation to apply for Application
for Candidacy forms with deans of their colleges.
Oct. 5 Five-week grades due via Blue and Gold Connection.
Oct. 24 2011 Winter Intersession registration begins for all students.
Oct. 24 8 a.m. 2012 Spring Semester priority registration begins.
Oct. 31 Title IV 60% of semester.
Oct. 31 4 p.m. Book and tuition emergency loan payment deadline.
Nov. 1 5 p.m. Last day to drop a course with an automatic Q.
Nov. 23 6 p.m. Residence Halls close for Thanksgiving holiday.
Nov. 24-25 Thanksgiving holidays.
Nov. 27 2 p.m. Residence Halls re-open after Thanksgiving holiday.

Winter Intersession 2011


Oct. 24 Registration begins for all students for Winter Intersession.
Dec. 12 Tuition emergency loans start for Winter Intersession.
Dec. 19 Book emergency loans start for Winter Intersession.
Dec. 21 Payment Deadline. A $35 Late Payment Fee will be assessed for registering
and/or paying after this date.
Jan. 2 First class meetings.
Jan. 3 Census Date; last day to register. Students will be dropped from classes if they
have not paid in full or made payment arrangements with the Business Office.
No additional Emergency Loans beyond this date.
Jan. 16 Tuition and book emergency loans due for Winter Intersession
Jan. 16 Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the university.
Jan. 17 Final examinations; last class day.
Jan. 18 Noon Grades due via the web at Blue and Gold Connection.

Spring Semester 2012

Jan. 16 9 a.m. Residence Halls open.
Jan. 17 General Faculty/Staff Meeting, Peacock Auditorium (BES 100).
Jan. 17 Meetings of deans with departmental chairs.
Jan. 17 Departmental meetings.
Jan. 18 First class meetings of all regular students.
Jan. 21 9 a.m. First class meetings of all Saturday students.
Jan. 24 5th Class Day. Students will be dropped from classes if they have not paid in
full or made payment arrangements by this date.
Jan. 25-Feb. 2 Permission from the adviser and professor to register or change classes.
Feb. 2 5 p.m. NO REGISTRATION BEYOND THIS POINT. Twelfth class day. Census
Date. Students will be dropped from classes added after the 5th Class Day if
they have not paid in full or made payment arrangements with the Business
Office. No additional Emergency Loans beyond this date.
Feb. 10 Deadline for students applying for graduation to complete the Change of Name
Request form with the Office of the Registrar.
Feb. 17 Last day for students completing graduation requirements in May to submit their
Application for Candidacy form approved by their Academic Dean with the

Feb. 22 Five-week Point.

First Summer Session 2012

July 6 6 p.m. Residence Halls close.
